I do not get why everyone or some people are against Al Jefferson coming here in a trade bith Martin and Jefferson come off the books after the season. we still have the money in the off season to go after big name free agents
I know the majority want the Rockets to tank, but there is tanking and there is tanking. Delfino is far from a superstar but his presence will be stabilizing, on and off the court. Delfino and the newbies are not necessarily going to win but they can be competitive even in losses. This is important to the future of these players, a lossing mentality is a habit. Delfino can help offset that. Plus Lin expends so much energy on offense that Delfino is a much better complement than either Martin or Lamb (at this stage). Delfino can teach a lot to Parsons, White and Lamb about the game/being a professional. And I agree about Martin, what we get for him will be a crucial building block and a sign of the organizations true direction - rebuild or contend now.
Is there actually a chance that Al Jefferson is coming ? I haven't heard any rumors about an Al Jefferson trade for the Rockets. As for Delfino, can he play power forward ?
Look at this from McHale's perspective. Who do you want Lamb learning the game from? And who could be supplanted by Lamb, should he blow up this year and his play demands minutes, maybe starting minutes, without throwing a tantrum? Martin, who would be livid having to sit behind a rookie? Or Delfino, who's simply a solid rotation player in most aspects of the game, not one, like Martin, and who could start if need be? Oh, and is this thread about Delfino, or Al Jefferson?
IDK. We do have a better defensive team now. Also, we lost 4 scorers(Lowry, Dragic, Scola, Lee) and got back 4( Lin, Lamb, Jones, DMo). So thats a wash. The only thing that bothers me about the team is the possible lack of defense from the bench. I just hope that the scoring is up to par for that to not be a problem.
Somebody mentioned a potential trade for Al Jefferson, so people argued that just brings the Rockets back to mediocrity.
I think GS could be good. If Curry and Bogut can stay healthy, a core of them and David Lee could be pretty good. Add Harrison Barnes and Dorell Wright as compliments and you have a surprise playoff team who could make some noise.
need to sign an argentinian player to keep that fanbase in our quest to sign all the forwards in the league , 2 birds 1 stone ..
Oh Wright's gone? And Landry is just as solid if not better then Wright. If GS stays healthy they can be good IMO. Wish they still had Monta, I started liking them kind of when Rockets had their second game of the year @GS and him and Steph were absolutely balling.
