It looks like the plan is still to route him to okc, after all these moving parts of the multi team deal are finalized
My assumption has been that Patty never wanted to play here and part of the agreement in signing him was to move him along to another team. I'm not that concerned with the Mills aspect of this whole fiasco. I'm much more irritated about the sheer number of low-value, but not worthless, assets that we gave away for nothing. Each of them are not a big deal on their own, but you throw away enough small change and it starts adding up to a bigger loss.
Reminds me of another 6-foot-nothing Aaron who played for the Rockets, AB0 Hopefully Holiday's defense is a lot better though...
I don't mind him if it's on a minimum deal. I'd much rather have Ty Ty, but Stone ****ed that all up of course.
I can't answer that for you honestly, just posting info people can make of it what they like. I like the move as a backup helping shooting. But if were comparing Patty Mills and Holiday, I like Mill's championship experience and vet presence. But Holiday as of last season and in the future is looking like the better choice given similar production but about less than one-third of the salary. Patty Mills Age 34 Contract: $6.8 Million https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/millspa02.html Aaron Holiday Age 26 Contract: $1.8 Million https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/holidaa01.html Separately, I also like Amen getting minutes at point guard that would have gone to TyTy, and Landale might turn out better than Garuba.
I read it as a depth signing, although I'm sure it will depend on Amen's showing in preseason ball etc.
