That number is a misnomer. Rubio is very good at drawing fouls when he goes to the rim. Goes to the FT line and knocks them down. And on many more possessions he is dishing to a cuttter/trailer for a dunk.

Rubio is extremely productive when he gets in the paint. Extremely productive.

Is it true picks can't be traded anymore?

Pass, dribble, run fast, be 6'4".

I love his game, but the problem really is the price, though. (And the shooting)

    You are right.

But I don't value him as a scorer at all. I value him as a guy that can create plays AND also defend. His defense is really underrated.

Also playing with Dwight and Harden will make the game a lot easier for him. Every shot he gets will be open and he'll have guys to toss the ball up to. With a PG they need talented players to make them look good and he'd have that here.

I would take Rubio over any of our other options at PG right now.

So you replace a bottom tier starting PG (Bev) with another bottom tier starting PG (Rubio) except one who can't shoot

I'd like to pour Rubio's game all over my lawn and watch it grow green.

Rubio's free throw rate is high because he plays 32 minutes a game with the ball in his hands, and barely shoots. He's not efficient at all shooting in the paint.

You are really underestimating Rubio's ability as a PG. Is he a good fit next to Harden? No he is not. But the guy is a really good PG.

Rubio with Harden will be an awful fit. If Rubio cost $7M? Sure. For $13M? No chance.

I don't want Rubio, but he is a much better playmaker. Much better. Something we sorely need is a second playmaker. In my opinion, Rubio's shooting is so horrible that I don't want him on this team. Bev being a better shooter than Rubio is not saying much.
