I been asking for this trade even before we got Lawson. Ricky is pass first PG and perfect for the hero ball style of Harden.

    brewer
    ariza
    jones
    dwight

dont need to guard anyone past the paint
and even then you just need to be within 5 feet of the basket
i'd love to see rubio in our 3pt chuck fest offense just for the laughs

Rubio came back down to earth real quick. 5th year in the league and he's still the exact same player her was when he was a rookie. Still can't score, shoot or get to the rim.

No way, unless you are a Tinman fan.

I made my point there already with him, I like the GARM more.

Because what we need is another starting PG to have a 0pt 0rb 5ast night. We already have Lawson to play that role.

Under our system Rubio would come here and be relegated to a three point stand still shooter, something he cannot do. It's not the players it's more of a problem with system.

His shooting doesn't fit the team philosophy, but I'm not sure that philosophy actually fits this team. Rubio is a better fit if the Rockets get actual shooters (most notably a stretch 4). I think he would actually attempt to run the pnr with Dwight and can actually make an entry pass into the post. Also a better defender than Lawson with enough length to switch on defense (which seems to be the Rockets preferred defense...) All in all I was hoping for Rubio before the trade for Lawson, not sure Money is still interested (he should be )

there is no pg that actually wants to handle the ball who would fit next to Harden unless he willingly adjust his game to let a pg be a pg. it's that simple.

If you are looking for a guard to pair with James Harden, after the Lin/Lawson experiments and seeing the Rockets preferring Terry/Beverley, getting a "traditional PG" doesn't seem like the smart option.

The Rockets need to find a "young Jason Terry." Shooting combo-guard that can sometimes handle the basketball.

Shouldn't the definition of a super star be a player who can succeed in any system? How is Harden an MVP caliber guard when his play style is more restrictive than a Panda's diet? If there's only a handful of players who will be a good fit with your star, maybe your star is fool's gold?
