I said "seemingly" atrocious fit. He ended up working out, but like Chandler Parsons before him, his production was a pleasant surprise given what we were paying him. Josh Smith would have been utterly terrible last year if he was still on that max contract he had. The cheapness of his deal with us was the only reason he was here.

I don't think Rubio is as bad as some of you are saying. I actually think he's pretty solid.

But I do agree that he's possibly the worst fit at PG on this team. Let it go.

I'd much rather a Moochie Norris thread. I'd even take an Aaron Brooks thread.

We have Lawson now. And Bev locked up for 4 years. And Terry still scratching around.

    We don't need no Rubio.

Going forward , the PF spot is the teams biggest issue. Both DMo & Jones hitting the free agent market this offseason , Harrell unsigned & the fact that the position is absolutely loaded in the West.

The PG spot probably has as much quality between the 1's & 2's (Lawson & PatBev) as any team in the league. It's no longer a concern assuming Lawson plays at the level he has in the past.

Lawson is ranked fairly high in the Yahoo Fantasy Mock drafts. Risky proposition but if he's the 40th odd best player in the league that will work for us.

I think that Harden's conditioning has always been suspect and I would like to see the team commit to a system that's less dependent on him. He doesn't look to be the steady guy he was after the summer olympics last year. It's not that I dislike him, but how can you count on a guy with his lifestyle? I don't believe you can. Just like his lifestyle, his conditioning and commitment to the team will falter and yoyo up and down. I believe that's one of the biggest reasons for this teams downward trend this year, that the team doesn't know how to cope without Harden. I believe that if that's the approach the team takes, Rubio could be a very nice piece to add to this roster.

Should have traded for Rondo, only because he would have probably actually smacked Harden and forced him to learn how to play with a PG.

Lawson, Rubio, no point guard will ever work in this current system.

The system needs to be changed. We can not win a ring with James handling the ball every single time down. He is far too sloppy.

Rondo, Lawson, Rubio, Westbrook, Rose... Seems like there's more bad shooters at PG than good ones.
Harden can't play off the ball, but when he's playing on the ball all the time he complains that he's tired, he needs help. He's not that good of a playmaker to surround him with great shooters and expect great results. Surrounding him with ****ty shooters seems like the best thing. Worked out great so far

Westbrook isn't a bad shooter, Rubio would not fit here

Rubio on Rockets.. another NON-Spot up shooter next to Harden. Putting Rubio with his terrible jump shot to play alongside Harden.

Yeah ok.. we never learn do we?
