Does he miss at the basket so much because of his mindset?

The Rockets need shooters. They need to go after Mills who, despite his size, can play the 1 & 2, and shoot the 3 ball. Forget about signing a guy like Rubio and pick up a value player from the d-league to back up Beverely.

You maybe right. Frankly, I think a lot of folks are undervaluing KP. He's got a decent all around game and if he adjusts to the NBA 3-pt line could be a solid role player/starter on a Minny team. As for the Poo-poo platter, all of the guys we're talking about have flaws, Rubio has some clear problems with health and shooting being two significant issues. Depending on how the season plays out, the trade deadline could well be the point (for Flip) that you speak of.

Mills is retained of course by SA. He is unobtainable. Rubio is the anti-Christ as far as Morey is concerned because he cannot hit the broad side of a barn with his shot. The Rockets do not need much from the PG spot. 3&D. Beverley. DMo looks like he has developed into a well above average three point shooter. Maybe Dekker gets their also?

KPap is garbage. Morey will cut him in another month. Realistically he was only a trade chip, nothing more. McHale tried him out of course and then poof his minutes disappeared. No surprise there. Rubio is certainly not an option because he never saw a shot he could not miss.

Ironically, my son said the same thing. http://www.clutchfans.net/bbs/images/smilies/wink.gif

    MR,

Before his injury KPap was playing pretty well in the minutes he got and was actually seeing some more time. After his injury, McHale had moved on and had new players to integrate. KPap was at the end of the bench and saw limited time. I believe this sunk him mentally and he never recovered. His body language when he entered games with second left, said I don't want to be here. Now, you and my son may think that makes him garbage, but I think that makes him a rookie who got his confidence/spirit stomped on a bit.

He's not a great athlete by any stretch, but he has valuable skills--ball-handling big, passing, defense, court awareness, etc. In the right system, I believe he can develop into a decent player. My opinion.

Is his contract a chip, sure, but if I'm DM, I'd be spinning what he did early in the year to make that chip more valuable.

I don't get one thing: Rubio is ignored as a winner, I mean he's always on the winning side of the ball, even in Minny.

They were good once Rubio was healthy. And he can step up his game. I mean, when you're talking about a kid that put one of the GREATEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES EVER, when he went on a final game of under-16 tournament and had 51 points + 24 rebounds + 12 assists + 7 steals on double OT game, hitting all the clutch shots, also a half court buzzer-beating three to force overtime, one of the greatest shots ever in basketball.

I mean Rubio GOT IT. He just needs a right situation, winning situation around him to show it. Put him on a Rockets team and he may explode

This is laughable...He has It??? He is a winner??

Terrible jumper, can't stay healthy, NEVER has he been a winner and he has been in the league for a while now.....and comparing greatness against teenage Spaniards and greatness in the NBA is like comparing a spelling bee champion to Stephen King...do not want this dude. Cant shoot, can't stay on the floor....does not have It

I once had a good game when I was 15 too. Hit like 6 threes. It was nuts.

How is he unproven, if HE HAD WON EVERY CLUB COMPETITION IN HIS LIFE EXCEPT NBA CHAMPIONSHIP?

    EuroChallenge champion
    EuroCup champion
    Euroleague Champion
Spanish League champion as a club member

    And

    Under-16 FIBA Champion
Eurobasket champion in 2009, 2011, Olympic silver medal in 2008 also.

I mean, who the F**K is the winner if not him?

what does this have to do with the NBA. As an NBA pro he hasn't done much to say he's a winner

Hm, Minny team was 21-20 in his rookie season before he torn his ACL, they were almost 0.500 team with last a year prior this season despite the injuries to their key role players outside of him and Love. That's not bad for a REALLY BAD TEAM.

What somebody did before they got to the NBA doesn't mean anything. Spain is like AAA basketball.

As an NBA player, this incomparable winner hasn't even been able to get his team over .500. Not that I think that is all his fault, but to say he just wins is a lie, because he hasn't won. In fact he has lost a whole lot more than he has won at this level.

People weren't able to realize how Corey Brewer was a winner in the NBA after his Florida days, when he played for Minny, had 20 playoff minutes for championship Mavs team or played on sub-par Denver, but once he was put in the right situation here...

Screw everybody, who says that he is no winner after last year playoff push. And he had nothing to prove except ring as a deeeeeeeeep bench player also.

It's all about situation you're in
