If only he we could give the money to Zbo, man he'd be such an awesome addition, just pure low post presence and toughness.

I prefer Asik over Howard but ultimately it is up to Morey and Howard.

You have a point IMO. McHale and Parrish dominated the Celtic paint for years. They did not step on each other either in scoring or defending.

IF we do acquire Dwight Howard, I think McHale can teach Howard and Asik how to work effectively together on both ends of the floor. Asik would remain as center and Howard would play PF.

Thomas Robinson remains the central trade bait to get a back-up SG to rest Harding and / or a back-up SF to rest Parsons (assuming we do lose both Garcia and Delfino).

    Asik / Motiejunas / Ohlbrecht
    Howard / T-Jones / G-Smith
    Parsons / Delfino / ?
    Harding / ? / Anderson
    Lin / Beverley / ?

He has been terrible against SA so far. Decent in the second half last night.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Morey said, not in so many words, he likes to stay away from older players because they tend to get injured much more often, so that tells us projected health is a primary concern of his, like it should be.

Every basketball analyst last season said Howard was not 100%. You can not assume he is going to be 100% again. On the contrary, you have to assume he is going to sit out a lot of games because of the same injury, because that is the precedent of players which have lengthy injury problems.

The only reason he played 76 games last season is because it was a contract year. Once he gets his big contract, minus that motivation, he is going to start missing a lot games. Therefore, trading Asik anytime in the near future, because of getting Howard, would be completely nuts. There's no reason to trade Asik before his contract runs out truthfully.

Exactly. The Rockets often had the #1 offense in the league last season. Why would they mess with a proven philosophy?

Because they often had a terrible defense.

I'm not saying that Howard & Asik could effectively work together, however using McHale & Parrish together isn't a good example. Both McHale & the Chief could hit a jump shot from about 10-15 feet. Neither Howard nor Asik have the ability to do this. Their both effective down in the paint, and that's about it.

    Forget Howard. David West!

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    West
    Asik

Keep the options for a trade later to upgrade PG or C

Time to continue the tradition started by Asik, only signing free agents from Pacers, Bulls, Spurs and Grizzlies.

Well coached, high IQ developed players, hustle, wing defenders who shoot the 3 and defenders in the paint with a good mid range.
