AB is now the third option. what Rockets need now is someone to come off the bench and be effective .. Assuming Tmac comes back and play, I think Lamar Odom who is a free agent this year is a better fit then Ron.
that guy shows up to play once every five games....if Ron is inconsistent then Odom is 2 times of what Ron is. no thanks.
in before the lock after such a fantastic season, I was hoping that the noobs here would chill on the stupid ass threads, but they never fail
We don't have the money to sign Odom, Marion, or pretty much any other attractive free agent that's going to want more than the MLE. The only reason we'll have the money to re-sign Ron is because we own his "Bird" right and are allowed to exceed the salary cap to sign him. /thread
you are an idiot if you think Shanw Marion helps this team at all. The most overrated player of the past 8ish years imo. Does not do a single thing well, just average at everything.
Odom is worse than inconsistent. He is consistently bad in big games. He secures a major spot in the rotation during the regular season only to pull a no-show in big games. It's like playing 4 on 5 if he is on your team because he still gets the minutes but gives little production. I honestly believe the Lakers are better in the playoffs without him because whoever replaces him can't possibly be a bigger choker than he is. Odom makes McGrady look like an overachiever.
You're correct. He did very well against the Jazz, but I'm glad our guys slowed him down considerably.
odom doesnt play hard. ron at least plays defense and plays hard he makes dumb plays and stupid shots but comes out and plays. plus rox already full of power forwards
Damn. After Ron changes our entire team personality, we want to slam and ditch him. Thank God Morey is not an idiot, and too bad that Clutchfans shows this kind of support, and wants to throw away a key piece to one of the toughest teams in NBA history.

No brain.
If Ron chooses to leave, hope he doesn't tho, this is someone to consider. I have to say no to the Matrix, his shot is ugly and the few times it goes in is surprising. He's a system player.
Lee pointed out earlier to my question about management's ability to use the MLE while re-signing Ron. Les isn't cheap, but he needs to go over the LT. I believe we should use the MLE to sign Zaza as a backup center, another option could be to use part of it to re-sign Wafer or to use part of it to sign a player like Matt Barnes.McGrady's expiring contract could then be used in a sign and trade,if he can't make a successful comeback. PS: Zaza isn't worth the entire MLE but bigs cost more.
Lamar, too soft guy compare to Ron... both mentally and physically.. but might be a good choice if fail to resign Ron
He is a Battier plus on offense in his present state, and has lost a couple of steps which has slowed him down on both ends. I would pass up on him right now. When he was the Matrix,I really wanted to pair him up with McGrady.
