May looked good only because Illinois didn't have a true inside presence. He won't be the biggest guy on the court in the NBA.

I really see us taking J. Hodge. Tmac needs a real runningmate to play alongside him who can handle the ball and create. Hodge brings that and alot more. He was "The Man" as soon as he stepped on the court at N.C.State(ACC-argueably the toughest conference for guards). Started basically all four years there and can handle PG duties with ease, supremely confident, and plays with alot of emotion. This guy is exactly what we need. Not to mention 6-7 and very athletic. Other than Tmac, noone on our team can matchup against this guy. His shot is suspect, but has worked on his mechanics and is reported to have really improved.

I like him over Garcia simply because he's more aggressive in scoring and playing defense, more vocal. Garcia will float at times and play very passive when he's not involved offensively. Hodge seems to enjoy playing defense and has stepped up big in the clutch.

Don't get me wrong, I like Garcia. But if Hodge is still there, we should snatch him up instead.

Channing Frye = Loren Woods (IMO)
Sean May = Clarence Weatherspoon in his prime (according to draftcity)

I don't know if Jack will fall to us; if so, it'd be hard to pass him up. I'm not completely sold on F. Garcia though; he seems to be made for the college game but I don't know if he's athletic enough to be a good pro. He doesn't have the quicks I'd want. Just my opinion. If Joey Graham, Warrick, or Simien fall to us, we have to take them. I'd be leery of Turiaf, but wouldn't mind taking him. It's a deep PF and PG draft, so I'd honestly be happy as long as they can contribute pretty soon.

It would be very interesting to hear Roy Williams' take on Wayne Simien vs. Sean May.... maybe I'll dash over to Roy's office. Roy only had Simien as a freshman and sophomore and May as a sophmore and junior.

Explain how he dominated the entire season then, not just that game? May, when in shape, is the real thing.

The Rockets just need to go with the best player available. Just look at our roster needs:

    1. A good PF (Simien, Turiaf, Warrick).
    2. A young swingman to play behind TMac (Garcia, Graham).
    3. A young athletic SG. (Fernandez, Miles, Winston)
    4. A backup C. (Diogu, Morris).

I would love to get a young PF, SF, or SG. But I'd rather have a vet PG, I'm not talking old like Ward, but a good experienced PG. James is nice off the bench and hopefully Spanoullis will be good, but I don't want to see us depend on Sura like last season.

I agree. I'd like to have Jack over Hodge, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hodge in a Rocket uni. I'd be nice having a PG that is 6-7.

If there is anyway the Rockets could get Antoine Wright, they should jump all over it. I have seen him play at A&M over the last 3 years too tell he is going to be a player at the next level. If they can't get Wright, then drafting JAck or Hodge would be wiser than drafting one of the many PF\C stiffs that are going to be in this years draft.
