as bad as our defense is, we still had our chance like you said, if Kmart and lowry hit all their FTs, we would be just fine....

that's the only positive i can think of now....

No one is a more staunch Rox fan than I yet, at best, this is a #8 seed this season as presently constituted. If that is correct then how far from the Lotto is an 'at best ... #8 seed'?

Folks, the reports that DM the GM is burning those minutes on his Blackberry (or smartphone of his choice) is the encouraging fact, not coming close to a team playing on the road in a B2B against a team it deems irrelevant.

I am worried not for this season but for the many seasons ahead before lightening strikes us with the quality and quantity of Batmen and Robins to be relevant anywhere at any time v any team in the World.

Shall I cheerlead a moral victory particularly when every element screamed
    'advantage Goog Guys'?

What response would you prefer? What purpose could you possibly serve even if I understood what your reply meant?

This is great somehow we still manage to suck against <500 teams while beating the good ones.

    Really? Wanna bet?

You are just reinforcing my point. When we were 0-5 we were on pace for 0-82. When we were 3-10 we were at best a lottery team. Now that we are the 8th seed, we are at best a 8th seed? That is some insightful analysis. Really forward looking and ground breaking stuff.

We are easily a 6th seed. As presently constituted. And, as I said, far from a lotto team.

Oh, and being down 3 with a minute to go seems to qualify as "coming close". And lets not forget it is the best team in the NBA we are talking about. Don't let little facts like that get in the way of your morbid pessimism though.

Cheerlead? Please don't. But if you are going to be on suicide watch then a fan site is probably not the proper forum either.

My pessimism is languishing in middlin' land for an endless period. Even if we are a 6th seed what does that get us? Even if we play into the 2nd round, what does that get us?

At the moment I can only enjoy my guys, not a dream of June confetti.

They should feel "proud" scoring as many points against the number 1 defence in the league. Wade always goes off and that was their catalyst in which the Heat won.

Jeez, why can't people realize there are just some games on the schedule that you 90% know your going to loose. But if you put up great effort like this, you are rewarded with not backing down.

    THINK POSITIVE PEOPLE!

Brooks stats look good but Lowry ran the game better.

    The team is set.

Just need a superstar wing to close out the game and a big man who can rebound, block shots, play intelligent D, defend the pick and roll...

    Morey get it done.

I'm proud of the team. No quit in them.

we will win the 1-8 or 2-7 matchup in the playoffs...we match up great with either san antonio or dallas...remember i said it here first...i think we will end up 6th in west with 48 wins.

If we can get to the second round, please don't show up at the game. After all the play-offs aren't worth watching if we don't statistically have the best chance to win it all. Honestly I don't see why we even play the games. I'd much rather have a terrible season and not watch any play-offs in hopes we might get a good draft pick, and then hope he might pan out to be good.

Too many defensive liabilities on our team. When your #1 perimiter defensive weapon is an aging Battier, youre in trouble. It will be interesting to see what DM does in the next month. We will make another trade.

    Last night:
Positives; Chase looking good, on offense, again. Jordan Hill continues to provide a spark off the bench. Chuck exceeding his talent level, as always. Solid PG play.

Negatives; Why did Scola only play 29-30 mins? Where was C Lee against D Wade? We dont have anyone to guard superstars; Battier is not that guy anymore. C lee is not that guy. Twill is not that guy. I know most of you have been saying this for years, but we need to go get that guy. Definition of 'that guy'; can guard the opposing players best scorer, can finish games on offense. Can do both of those things consistently.

    I'm hungover...go Rockets!

Sure...we had every advantage in this game...of course that is only if you discount the fact that we were playing the MIAMI HEAT!!!!
