everything about the guy and his behavior over the last couple of years predicted this. he's gotten a free pass for all his dysfunctional behavior for as long as he's been in the NBA, because of the things he could do on the court. It was pretty much a guarantee that as soon as his production declined, the thin veneer of productivity that was covering the festering sore that is everything else about him as a teammate and leader would go away and reveal him for what he really is.
Hey, where are the Tmac Jerseys that are blue pinstripes and say Orlando on it? I know many people here love that alternate jersey.
This is big news. Everybody knows that when a trade is imminent, the first person Morey and Les talk to is the manager of the Rockets Shop. Doesn't anyone remember how there was a sudden inexplicable clearance sale on Alston jerseys in February right before we traded Rafer? Or how we started selling Artest jerseys last June, a full month before we "officially" acquired Ron Ron? This is really happening.
That means fans have caught onto McGrady and his acts and are not buying his jerseys anymore. No kid wants to wear a McGrady jersey and say "I want to be a quitter when I grow up."
Looks like Steve Nash, Amare, Shaq, and Barbossa are on their way out too. http://store.shopsuns.com/categories-clearance.html
I would take all but the cancer formally known as Shaq. Looks like the Suns are the next team to be thrown under the Shaq bus.
same thoughts. maybe you didn't realize that the owner of the Rockets Shop is actual Morey's 3rd cousin's nephew..
why are people even rating this thread? are they mad at the prices? do they think they should be cheaper? did someone at the Rockets shop send them a Karl Malone Jersey instead of Scola? Why?
It's a little different -- Robert Sarver lost a TON of money this year; his biggest goal is to unload salary and make as much a profit as possible. Teams have inquired about Nash, and Amare was on the trading block half the season. The Rockets DO seem to be doing financially well. They're in great shape with T-Mac's contract coming off the books soon, and they've been drawing some real crowds. China still exists, so they're doing well in the ratings department. And Morey supposedly inquired about Nash, so they're still in financial shape to acquire players. Phoenix is unloading jerseys to cut losses. Houston doesn't need to be. Still, I am more on the side that the team is unloading unsold jerseys after the fans declared T-Mac persona non grata. For the record, I still like T-Mac, and I would still welcome a healthy Tracy Lamar McGrady on this team. He definitely made some bad decisions this year that he should be held accountable for. I am neither a lover nor a hater; I am the Third World in the T-Mac Cold War.
it hurts when your a tmac fan, esp when you don't care aboutthe rest of the team. . it's prtty much like you're long on a stock and prices went down.
There's always been alot of people who hae hated Tmac, they just lurk around when he is excelling and come out and reak havic when he is injured or makes a prediction. I totally saw it coming. Just because 2-3 of the 99ers, other decide to follow because they can't decide for themselves what's fair or not and have to follow. Even if Tmac does come back, wins the MVP, get's Yao invovled, stays healthy and win the NBA Finals, there will always be that certain group that will hide in the shadows and hope for a horrid upcoming season for the man. Why? I don't know, must be personal. NOT.
