They would rather spend thousands of dollars taking a stupid inanimate object (the cap) on all-expense-paid trip around the world tour.
I like the logo. It is simple and different. I can see on tee shirts, very cool. However, I wonder how they are going to incorporate this logo on the Rockets unis. If done right, it will probably look pretty cool. On the other hand, it could look horrible if not done right. I guess we will have to wait till September to find out. Please God let the unis look cool
The key is to see it on clothing. That is what it was designed for.... to be stitched onto cloth, not to look cool in shadowed/3D graphics on a web site. I think the cap is excellent. I was looking at all of the logos for the NBA, and I don't see a single baseball cap that I would rather wear. The only ones that come close are the Pacers, Trailblazers, Sonics, and Lakers... and of those teams the only two that have nice colors are the Sonics, and Trailblazers. Everything else is really childish looking. If the Rockets want to make stuff that appeals to kids, they can build graphics around the logo, like you usually see on the championship t-shirts for example. There is no point in creating a childish logo that eliminates the chance of a nice baseball cap.
Driving to work this morning a caller on 610 was voicing his displeasure that the lines coming from the bottom of the big R looked more like dripping blood than flames. SUHHH-WEEET !! Mess with the Rockets and youll be bloody. I like it! Much better than the pajama logo. Its almost intimidating, in my opinion. Cant wait to see the uni's. Clutch City 4 Ever !
All this thread needs now is a return of LHUTZ with some of his own logo ideas, and the angry disclaimer that the logo was stolen from some designs he has on whataburger napkins in crayola. -Deji
people are quick to say the logo is ugly without even seeing the damn jerseys yet. everybody calm the fukk down.
I was thinking about that this morning so I went lurking on a few boards around the league. It seemed that most thought it was neat, good, great or it's not bad. Some just thought it was better than the P.J.s and the old Ketchup & Mustard uniforms. Then there were some that thought it was the worst thing ever. (Some of them were just haters, I think. Cause their post went from logo to the typical Rockets hating)
