He's not Ray Allen, i think he's much more like Kevin Martin. This was a great pick. Love the size and wing-span. A lot more athletic than folks think. Will be a better NBA player than college player. Def. a top 10 talent that should not have been there at #12. I think you will see his 3pt% improve dramatically. Some experts thought he was the best SG prospect in the draft. Another potential all-star talent.

I don't see the Kevin Martin comparison with him other than them both being skinny jump shooters. Lamb's shooting stroke and style of creating offense are not much like Martin's.

Lamb likes that little fadeaway jumper or driving all the way to the rim and finishing. Martin can't really hit a fadeaway shot--he pulls up in an open lane when he can, otherwise he tries to draw a foul.

Furthermore, Lamb at least has the potential to be a better defender than Martin. He has all the tools to be a disruptive force on the defensive end like Allen.

What remains to be seen is how close he can come to that Allen/Miller type ceiling. Maybe production (not playstyle) similar to Martin's would be a mid-range type scenario.

Ehh i didnt really like lamb prior to draft but since he is a rocket ill accept him...

Reminds me alot of Kevin Martin but with more athleticism and alot more defense...

I really don't think Lamb was Morey's first target when he moved up to the 12th. I'm sure he REALLY wanted Terrence Ross but the Raptors made that surprise pick.

A more athletic KMart that can actually play D would be a stud. I be fired up if he can score like Martin and actually play D.

I may be off, but he kinda reminds me of Rip Hamilton... Great pick, because he has a really high ceiling - right now we have to be lucky with a player surprising everyone and turning into an all star. All of our 3 drafted guys have that potential.

    Can't get a better player at 12.

Had we not traded up from 14, no way he gets past PHX.

Watching him dribble and how smooth he is, the comparison is easy. He is a shorter Kevin Durant.

I see Brandon Roy in his prime.

Kevin Durant wouldn't be nearly as good if he were shorter.

That is pretty high expectations. Brandon was a borderline superstar in his prime. I like my Durant comparison because of how smooth they are. I don't think Lamb will be anywhere near as good as Kevin but he plays just like him.

Rip Hamilton/Nick Young is the best comparison so far. He handles the ball better than Martin and doesn't have the awkward shot. Best case Reggie Miller but he doesn't have the killer instinct that Miller had. I might be wrong though. Can't wait to watch him and especially White play in the summer league.

Agreed, as I don't think Lamb will be as good as Durant. I see major similarities in their game. Both prefer the left hand, quick release, and like to use that floater in traffic.

Yeah, I meant similarities in his shooting and dribble seperation, not that he will be as good as Roy etc.

Passiveness on the offensive end, poor shot selection, unwillingness to attack the basket despite great athleticism and inconsistent energy on defense sound scary to me.

Dude sounds like a taller Luther Head.

He would really excel in a motion offense(ie Adelman)...natural scorer...and if last year was his Sophmore slump...the kid is going to be ok...

Dude is nothing like Luther, although a longer Head isn't a bad thing either.

K-Mart, Luther Head. People need to watch some other teams instead of being Rockets only viewers. The comparisons here are horrible sometimes.

I like DD's Brandon Roy comparison.

Granted, I'm only going by his description on DraftExpress (because college basketball bores me) but if the guy has all the problems mentioned above, I'm going to be down on him until he proves otherwise. This team needs someone at SG who attachs the rim like he hates it.
