If we could trade Lin and filler for RONDO that would be sweet! Dreams...

If Lin is traded..there goes all them Chinese ads on the court and Asian fans. I hope the Lakers take him and let him run the show, at least it wouldn't be as miserable as watching Lin ait on the bench 4th quarter.

Les already stated he has enough money. He wants a contender. If losing Lin, Lin's fans and a few bucks means having a team that makes some noise, then I think he'll absorb the 'loss'.

You could ask this same question about most of the people we have drafted in the past 5 years. You don't draft based on need, because that would imply that the player is NBA rotation-ready. You draft players who can realistically maximize their potential in your system. Of course, this is one school of thought. But I think it's silly how fans always expect teams to draft like all of the picks are suiting up in the rotation on day 1.

One positive about Lin is his attitude. Rondo is the antithesis of Lin in that regard.

That's under the assumption that a Beverly plus Isaiah combo is better than Lin/Beverley. You do know Lin was top 10 in steals, great at the intangibles and spreading the court. I don't think Isaiah is NBA size and ready, Aaron Brooks should've been kept. Plus if you guys have kept up with S Machado he's gotten much faster and much more aggressive to the paint, should've kept both of them.

I'm guessing he will be coming off the bench more as a SG rather then PG, if at all but I suspect before the middle of December 2013 we will have Canaan vs Beverly threads.

Hell, you can't even expect to draft Chandler Parson at 34.

I'm still crying crocodile tears about us not picking Glen Rice Jr.

The Rockets know more about Glen than any other team based on his RGV days. If they passed on him for someone else, I trust that decision.

    Not keeping AB?

Does this mean AB is not going to be around for next season?

Game highlights of him remind me of a Mario Chalmers and/or Steve Francis blend type of play. Anyone else agree?

Why experiment with a rookie guard combo when we already have Lin/Beverley for a year and proven a success to push to team to playoff in its first year? Why trying new unproven asset when the next year should be a contending season with Dwight? Isaiah Canaan is a ball hawk and a scoring guard. How many scoring guards have taken their team to championship? We need a guard who can make everybody play better as a team. We should have chosen a sg or a sf if Dwight is in town. We need backup for Harden or Parson if any one of them get injured.

More like taller and fatter Nate Robinson. He has zero court vision.

He's probably just another stashed asset that Morey will showcase duofring Preseason and will be added in draft deals. Just like Jeremy Lamb. I wouldn't buy a Rockets Jersey of Canaan yet. :)

Well, if dustinb14 is correct in his assessment, it sounds like we've got a future HOfer. :) I'm happy with the pick.

    1. Rondo only plays hard on nationally televised games.
    2. He cares more about padding his stats than wins/losses.
    3. Rondo is probably the worst 3 pt shooting PG in the league. His career
    average is 24%.

Did you see Nate Robinson in the playoffs? If we get that from a 2nd rounder I'd be ecstatic.
