Yeah but they aren't going to be stupid either...DeRozen can fetch them a better package than anything Morey would be willing to give them...

Good reasoning. Wing help. I was wondering why the removal of House and not waiving MCW (PG). Both
contracts are Non-Guaranteed and MCW is about $600,000 more and probably doesn’t have as much value as House
    in a trade.

Yeah, i wouldn't expect a major move, i'm actually scared we might end up with J.R Smith...

doesn't seem like a 1 for 1 trade if we need to create a roster spot. sounds more like a 1 for 2 trade. most likely knight's contract split into 2 smaller deals which goes along with what clutch said about being more flexible at the deadline.

If it’s JR Smith, I’d have to take a leave of absence from my fandom, like Morey would’ve done from his senses.

Hmm...is DeRozen worth 4 picks plus Gordon and Knight? Even if he is (Which I'm not so sure)...Depth would still be an issue. I don't giving 3 picks plus Knight, Kris, and Hartenstein...

That's right, otherwise we might as well stay Melo.

How about Simmons and Augustin from Orlando?

Simmons is a SG/SF who can play some defense (12M x2 year deal, unguaranteed next season)
Augustin is a PG who can shoot (14M x2 year deal)

Probably not happening but this wouldn't be that bad maybe...would provide some depth and more flexibility going forward.

I would love 5his deal I thought in the series where the Sours beat Houston the unsung hero was Jonathan Simmons. He made Harden work in both ends of the floor and could do a lot of the same on this team.

Yep. Simmons isn't shooting well so far this season, but he's playing in Orlando so, who knows...the Magic have also guys like Fournier, Isaac and Iwundu in the same spot and signed for more years, Ross is expiring but playing better, providing quick points off the bench, i think it's fair to expect Jonathon as the guy who's going to get traded eventually.

With that said, honestly, i'm not sure what's the point for Orlando to make this trade unless they get some sweeteners back (let's say a 2nd rounder). I mean, their PG rotation is really bad (DJ and Grant), but do they really think it's worth to pay Knight two times what DJ gets? I wonder if the current gm of Orlando is the same guy who traded for Knight when he was in Milwaukee...i'm probably wrong but well, if that's the case maybe there's a chance lol.
