    The last year for the red & gold was the 1995-1996 season. So we had one more season of red & gold after we won our last championship before getting swept by Seattle and changing uni's.

    bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

    I'm sorry, that's the WRONG answer! We'd like to thank you for playing Houston Rockets trivia. As a parting gift, you get a year's supply of Rice-a-roni, a rabid ferret, and a copy of the home version of our game. :D

    Linus is wrong. We changed our uniforms after the 1995 championship...we were wearing the PJs when we were swept by Seattle. Sorry...

    ....did some research because, well....I just didn't believe you guys. I stand corrected, but I swear I remember seeing the red & gold at the end of 1996 vs Seattle.

    :eek:

    Denver is scheduled to be retro against the Rockets April 16th.
    Retro vs. Retro how cool would that be?

    I remember seeing Clyde at the ring ceremony debuting (sp?) the horrible new uni's with his son. I swear I thought Clyde forgot to tell his son to change out of his PJ's before they left home but alas...it was just our new uniforms. The worst uniforms in the history of modern sports IMHO. :)

    "I BELIEVE DENVER WORE THEIR RETRO JERSEYS FOR 4 GAMES, WHY CANT WE? "

    Except that our old unis don't have a skyline that looks like it was drawn on a 1981 Atari.

    I've never liked the new unis and am all for having the Rockets play for good in the old ones but frankly the Rockets could play in 1979 Astros' unis, bright orange hats and all, if it helps them win.

    On the subject of the retro unifad I live up in MN and saw a kid wearing a mid-80's Stros' jersey. Unfortunately he looked like he would've been 4 when Mike Scott, Nolan Ryan and Jim Deshais were dominating NL batters.

    Hmmmmm.....I thought Denver was planning on unvailing their NEW UNIs that day against the Rox instead of Retro?

    True, but the current ones might! They're so busy, I'm sure there's a skyline in there somewhere. ;) Actually they look like a verticle version of the arcade game Defender.

    Man, It was insane seeing those red jerseys. I really wish they could use them the rest of the season. Be hold the power;

    So, if the Rockets wear the jerseys for the rest of the season, what happens...the team gets fined? I'm sure the players can chip in and pay the fines...anything to look good,,,

    that would be cool, if that was all it would be. Just a couple of fines. Two games, 114 pts score, in the last two times the rockets wore the red.
