    I assume we’ve gotten some kind of assurances that Butler would re-sign if traded here. That’s the only way I see Morey doing something like offering up 4 1st rounders for a dude who’s about to be a free agent. If not, then this is the ultimate gamble.

    I know the quandary they are in ... they need Butler to compete. But this is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen from the Rockets. There has to be more to this.

    Well we don't know who would be traded yet.

    If it is Knight + Chriss and 4 firsts then we are basically flipping Anderson for Melo and Ariza for Butler and Ennis for Luc.

    This deal must be with Knight replacing EG in the offer. I just can’t see Morey being that stupid otherwise.

    Gotta up that risk profile right?

    Morey knows this roster needs an upgrade. Worth it IMO. Rockets rarely keep their picks anyway and if you can get Jimmy to re-sign you got top tier team for the next 3-4 years
