Got the scoop on this ... Rockets are releasing a "fan" site this week, aka History Wiki. It's not public yet, but here it is: http://forthefans.rockets.com/ Finally a place for real fans to discuss the Rockets.
I bet they are going to do this with all the NBA teams (at least that would be my guess) Since they are doing it as a wetpaint site when you sign up for one you sign up for them all. Interesting look though. thanks for the tip clutch.
They have Hakeem listed as 7'4"... http://forthefans.rockets.com/page/Hakeem+Olajuwon+Hall+of+Fame+Tribute
Right after the HP partnership runs out, this site doesn't go down, it just gets ignored and becomes cyber-gunk.
I see they have some activity in their discussion forum already! And the poster even did the Macbeth two-step and found his own thread helpful .
Be funny if all the losers that got banned from here goes over there. EDIT: Nicely done Sir Jackie Chiles. I LOL'd.
so should I fill in all the chuck stuff that I have... Actually that would be a lot of freaking work. Maybe I will wait and make sure he makes it past the trade deadline.
Why doesn't the organization just give Clutch complete control over web based enterprises already. Geez.
Having user-created content for the Rockets community like this isn't a bad idea for persistent data (wiki, not a forum). I wonder how fan emotionalism will play in though.. like the drama that McGrady is going through, would that end up in the form of bashing on his profile page?
too much user controlled content and such--build your own site? who has time for all that unless you're a teenager
Awwwww... From the forums page, all I saw was "Rockets releasing new" and I thought YES! an alternate jersey?!!?!?
