Everyone mad at Dosey for Rockets cutting Jeff Adrien but the folks should be mad at is Clint Capela. He should have spent a year in Europe

Our rotation won't be that big probably 8-9 players. We are stronger as a team with this roster with a small decrease in offense but less turnovers and better defense.
Not true. Black wouldn't have made this squad if not for pre-season. Dorsey will probably not play much anyway, Black has earned that backup C spot for now. Let's see if McHale is consistent.
Stop talking about Dorsey as if you know anything about his game. The guy is fresh off of an ankle injury and missed nearly the entire first half of camp. He very well may not be the answer at backup center. But none of you, including me, know anything about his IQ or how he'll fit into the team's rotation. The team would be in no better of a position had Dorsey have been cut and Adrien retained. Morey brought this guy back from Europe and gave him guaranteed money for reason. Let's wait and see what that reason is.
i think we have to do min 9 and more likely 10 deep to start of the year (11 if dorsey and black split minutes). Bev, Canaan Harden Ariza, Papa Jones, Dmo Howard Black/Dorsey thats 10 right their and then you have to play canaan and bev together to make up for hardens minutes. thats alot of minutes for canaan. lucky thing is our first 4 games are gaianst non playoff teams so it will give us a chance
Dorsey can't even set a proper screen! If Dorsey doesn't improve fast, I can see McHale not playing him at all, and just go with Black/DMo as back-up 5s.
i'm not sure who's lobbying to trade capela, but i was sort of hoping you had actually seen more of capela's game (either live or a few games from start to finish). his physical upside is well-known, but just as notorious is his lack of court awareness, X and O's, sometimes poor attitude, and disappearing in games. was hoping you could dispute some of those negatives. oh well, hopefully we get to see him a bit in D-league this year.
ummmmmmm..... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We Rockets fans have been spoiled by Omer Asik's screen-setting brilliance, but Dorsey could be the best pick-setter currently on this team.</p>— David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/524021216743395330">October 20, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Dorsey is going to get his second chance to prove he is a legit NBA player. I think he will fit in fine.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Given cap ramifications and roster balances, the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash">#Rockets</a> probably made the right decisions in releasing Adrien and Smith...</p>— David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/526757635949748224">October 27, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Feel bad for both, since Smith was good enough to stick as deep PG depth & Adrien was hampered by ankle injury all through training camp...</p>— David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/526757835112062978">October 27, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>But in the end, Black (health), Dorsey (contract) & Canaan (upside, contract) had advantages over Adrien, Smith going into final cuts.</p>— David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/526758184812171264">October 27, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
yeah, based on his size. but judging by this preseason, how many times was he called for illegal screens, that McHale just sat him down?
Actually we should have cut Garcia. You always need big men (Adrien) who can bang in the post. Garcia didn't show anything in preseason. And if Ariza or Paps are unable to play for one reason or another, you slide Harden to the 3 and play Daniels/Terry at the 2.
Illegal screens are as much on the ball handler as the screener. Dorsey in Europe was very Chuck Hayes like in the fact that he supposedly played very good position basketball, which while not flashy can be extremely effective. We'll see what he does back in the NBA.
Are you serious BimaThug, Ish Smith good enough, did you see him play?? I can only think of that midget with Lil Wayne dreads and Flynn we were worse.
Jeff Adrien is JJ Watt with a Basketball. Clint Capela is a Draft Bust with a Basketball. Francisco Garcia is Ed Reed with a Basketball.
Twill be interesting to see if anybody picks up either of these guys off waivers (doubt it). If they are not picked up that is over $1.83 million that Morey threw in the trash can by signing these guys so early. I could understand the Dorsey and even the Adrien early signings. I could not understand the Ish signing at the time it was done nor do I understand it now EXCEPT to rationalize that Morey had a trade working that he thought would deplete the point guard core. Point guards are a penny a dozen in this league these days. There's better PGs than Ish that didn't even make it to training camp. Nothing about the Ish signing makes sense to me except either: 1. Morey thought he had a trade worked out. or 2. Morey was paying back a debt to a player that previously took a lower contract or lesser years contract to help the team in his previous stint.
