Dorsey has no place on this team basketball wise. Everytime he sees the floor it's a disaster. Crying shame we had to cut Adrian to make room for this buffoon.
Can someone explain to me why Morey would claim Earl Clark off of waivers only to release him over the weekend?
I don't think anyone is questioning the Lakers rich history. However their fans are in question for lack of being grounded in reality. Its part of being a spoiled rotten for so many years.
off hours practice using the nba online order entry system? gotta keep them asset trading operational skillz sharp
I guess. But I think most fans of unsuccessful ballclubs would be wishing to be Lakers, Spurs, Celtics fans It is the other end of the extreme
Cutting a player like Adrien has nothing to do with liking him or not. After all, if you are truly a Rockets fan, it is about the team. I will just say that, barring any trades for a super role player (e.g. Millsap), Adrien would have been a great fit for us. Having two superstars already, all we needed from that PF position was a consistently solid player and I think we can all agree that Adrien was that player. Well, you never know about Morey. Adrien might be back soon.
this ^^^ Sorry, Adrien, we had to cut you. You would have been a good player to have vs those teams that are just running over TJones and DMo. Even if undersized, he showed us what he could do in the DAL preseason game. I hope we can still pick you up later in the season.
im the only one who wants dorsey around. thiers absolutley no way he was ready to go in those practise matches. start dwight have dorsey and black slit minutes until he gets his full fitness i realise it isnt ideal splitting minutes at the backup but if he doesnt have the tank then we have no choice
well Dorsey was good in the last few pre-season games defensively but people expect double-doubles it seems
DM has made a mistake in letting Adrein go. We need everybody who can rebound and defend. Good luck to him. Garcia should have been cut. I am glad that Black was retained.
Well, Joey "Howard Light" Dorsey had better kick it into 6th gear if he expects to get any level of respect on this board after the Adrien cut. Right now he is dragging ass in 2nd. Howard needs to wreck this dude in practice and tell him "nobody disrespects me by letting a clown like you carry my name. You want that comparison I'm gonna make you earn it!"
He had one or two good plays but that doesn't excuse a total disaster of a preseason. I just want a guy who isn't too short to finish inside, doesn't throw the ball away and can set a screen without committing a foul. I understand why Dorsey was kept but it's very frustrating. The guy's Bball IQ is quite low.
From a physicality standpoint, he has elite athletic ability for draft NBA talent. Incredibly long, fluid, mobile, and can jump. Potentially exceptional shot blocker. Should be able to guard multiple positions (4's, 5's, and maybe 3's). Is he a polished offensive player coming over from Switzerland at such a young age, and with so little experience? Well... it would be dumb to make any claim as to how he will translate or ultimately work out. However we are talking about the same type of physicality that other teams have hit on in the lottery with guys like Giannis, Batum, and Ibaka. Sometimes you miss like a Biyombo, Perry Jones, or Ekpe Udoh, but if you get a chance to get this type of athlete at the range the Rockets draft at (late first round), you should be willing to take a flyer on a kid like this for the sheer impact it could have. The fact is the Rockets don't normally get chances with talent like this especially this early. Since we seem to have a fan-base that always has wanted to draft guys like Hassan Whiteside, and Fab Melo in the past, I can't for the life of me get past the fact that alot of those same people are wanting to at least see what they have for a couple years with a guy like Capela who rates much higher than guys like Whiteside coming into the draft. Keeping someone like Jeff Adrien is not a good enough reason to trade someone that has even a 25 to 30% chance of being rated in the class of guys in this raw talent pool that actually hit & develop in the NBA.
