To be fair, we don't know anything about this year's picks as NBA players (yet). I love the picks, but let's see them play a bit before saying they are successes!!
.....and immediately became a 50 win team. If these guys can't even do 30, it says a lot of bad things about their talent level, that's a SUPER low bar.
Pending an Eric Gordon trade - hypothetically does this open the window to stick it to the Nets and actually extend Kyrie and Durant with our rookies? Sengun Jabari Durant Green Irving Porter - sixth man
I disagree. The WC is really deep and very few truly bad teams. Even in the East, the teams who have been "tanking" all got a lot of talent in the past 2 years. They could easily be a much better team and still only win say 25-29 games.
If that's all they win, Silas has to be gone for sure and they should probably have Stone on the hot seat. They won 22 while actively trying to tank with less talent. A 3 game improvement would be a serious disappointment.
30 wins was good for 5th 6th 10th 6h worst records in the last 4 82 game seasons. I had to bet that is about where they will end up, 4-9th worst record.
That was year 3. Year 1: draft KD - win 20 games Year 2: draft Westbrook - win 23 games Year 3: draft Harden/Ibaka - win 50 games ...and that's 3 future MVPs We just finished year 1...
The Rockets really don't get anything out of this, other than a few million off the contract and whatever the team that signs him pays off as well, but it was good karma to do it, and that has to be noticed around the league's players. DD
Him going does nothing to help, but it does show some compassion by the franchise towards Wall, and I am sure players around the league are noticing. DD
A roster spot freed up. What's the tally right now? ------------------------ Traded / buy-out John Wall Christian Wood ------------------------ Cut Bruno Fernando Dennis Schröder Sterling Brown Trey Burke Marquese Chriss ------------------------ List 01 Josh Christopher 02 Usman Garuba 03 Jalen Green 04 Garrison Mathews 05 Daishen Nix 06 David Nwaba 07 Kevin Porter Jr. 08 Alperen Şengün New 09 Jabari Smith 10 Tari Eason 11 Tyty Washington hmmm 12 Jae'Sean Tate 13 Eric Gordon (next?) 14 Kenyon Martin Jr. (next?) 15 Boban Marjanovic (maybe)------------------------ Two-way 16 Anthony Lamb 17 Trevelin Queen------------------------
New team doesn't have to pay anything off the old contract. That's why it's a buyout. In Tilman's mind, this move pays for Jabari's first year.
