Having barry on the floor with yao and tracy is going to be very good. I'd go as far to say you could see a lineup of barry/tracy/battier/scolandry/yao at times this year. That would be the most optimal shooting lineup you could put on the floor around your stars. Barry could initiate entry passes to Yao, or get the ball to T-Mac to run the offense.
Brent Barry scored 23 points in game 4 of the western conference finals against the Lakers that was the game he got fouled at the end. The point is has Luther Head score 23 points in his total playoff career? When you can score 20 plus points as a role player in a big game that is good.
Mike James was a 3rd string point guard, Barry had a real role and won 2 championships with San Antonio.
I have to admit that's an interesting combo, but I'd throw AB in there in certain situations. We'll be a very good defensive team again, but there weill be times when we just need scoring.
I didn't know we had a psychic future teller on the board! A splash can only be determined/diminished after the next season. If Head had actually hit his share of threes considering the number of close games we've had with Utah... I'd say this great/"minor" acquisition was pretty major. All it takes is a few well timed shots to make a major impact. It doesn't require a 20/10 superstar to make a splash, although I think it's what some (a lot here) feel entitled to with every transaction. You can't say that Barry won't make a big difference down the stretch towards cracking the second round.
I only mentioned it as a potential option. You could play brooks/tracy/barry, brooks/barry/battier as well.

Well I know that, but I was pointing out we did have a player with a ring on the roster. Brian Scalabrine has a ring too so it doesn't mean you are a productive role player if you have a ring.
Great addition...just another step in the right direction. Big upgrade off the bench over Head/Jackson/Novak.
I meant it as a compliement. Barry is who he is, but he might have more of an impact than I think, and your line-up reminded me of that.
