Justice supposed that this means Novak will be traded............ who makes up the 15 man roster? Green to the NBDL? Brooks till Jackson is traded. I know it's too early to guess with the MLE and the Landry situation but I still wonder.
nice move...i think he will be huge for Yao....and he will get ALOT of open looks to knock those 3s down.....
More than his shooting I'm excited that we have another playmaker and ball handler. I think Barry is going to be good in Adleman's offense and its nice to know that someone else besides Rafer (or T-Mac) is capable of good decision making out on the floor. He's a little weak defensively but I think our team defense is good enough to cover for him.
Justice said that the rotation should Alston, McGrady, Battier, Scola, Yao, Barry, Landry, and Brooks. I then asked him if he was assuming Brooks would be in the rotation or if he was told, and then he told me that's what he has been told. So, to me it looks like Jackson won't be anything besides an expiring contract and maybe Francis is really done (though I don't want to believe that). Anyways, I can wait to get my Barry jersey during the home opener.
Alston and Brooks as the PG combo isn't going to get it IMO if this teams wants a championship. If Yao and T-Mac stay healthy, that rotation above plus Barry might make a WCF, but I doubt it is going further than that if Alston and Brooks is really the point guard duo.
I guess this team is content on going in with almost the same team....which isn't a bad thing if our core can stay healthy. If that's the case, then we should be legit contenders
Apparently looks like Rockets have a lot of faith in Brooks. They did not even try to acquire another point guard in the draft, or target one in the FA. That can be great news, we will see how Brooks perform in summer league. I hope he isn't going to just score bunch this year but actually run a good offense scheme.
Same as every year. However, I think by now we should try and make the team even better for insurance because injuries are almost always expected now.

Um, has everyone forgotten his boneheaded crunch time play in the WCF a couple of months ago? He shied away from Fisher's foul AND failed to get the ball to a wide open Robert freaking Horry? I hope he is just fodder in an upcoming trade.
Be patient, Morey is playing this right. Except for the Pacers very few teams are talking about Landry right now, so we should be able to sign him and have money left over when the secong tier FA bidding starts. We should still have a couple mil to go after someone like Matt Barnes or Ricky Davis if we choose. Just like last season there are more FA than money to go around so some players are gonna get stuck out, especially with big money going to Brand and Baron.
Looks like a lot of people over at Spurs talk are really upset at the Spurs not trying to keep him. Once again, off season moves screw the Spurs somehow
