Yada yada yada, again it's all speculation at this point on how the rotation will be, especially for the duration of the 82 game season. Like I said earlier, this signing alleviates the pressure for the younger guys to produce right away in order for us to win early in the season, gives Adelman flexibility. But I expect Adelman to slowly integrate the younger guys and see how they do as the season progress, much like Landry Brooks and Novak last year. If Barry is one of the first players off the bench late into the season, and is the backup to Tmac and Battier, I'd be kinda worried.
I know all of this. The point was that he is nothing more than a spotup shooter at this point in his career. Many people on here think that he will play point for the Rockets or be a 3rd option of sorts in our offense...it just simply isn't true. Stats like him having the 10th best passer rating for his position and having the highest TS % in the league make people greatly overvalue the player he actually is. He's a solid backup that gets solid backup minutes...people like kevc are making him out to be the 2nd coming of Reggie Miller.
I'm just glad more than anything that we have someone solid off the bench instead of Luther Headcase. I'm glad that when the playoffs come we will have a solid contibuter who won't disappear like Luther. I think we won't see much of Luther anymore if he's even a Rocket by the time training camp starts.
The best part of this signing is reading the reaction of spurs fans on their forums. This is even better than the Batum cockblock.
agreed. Morey is our saviour. If he doesn't get Executive of the Year in the next couple of years, then I'd be a little pissed. The climax culminates in the massive trade we're going to see near the trade deadline! Until then, the tension builds......
Yeah I kinda take Richard Justice's opinion with a grain of salt also, I think some members here have better bball knowledge then Justice.
Who said he would be third option? It doesn't, it simply shows he was really really good at what he did, which was spot-up shooting, and making the right passes within the offense. He was a supporting player, but he was really good at being a supporting player. When did kevC make him out to be Reggie Miller? You misread what he said.
Very Good Post...aside from his great shooting and basketball IQ, the key is we practically got him for nothing.
That's exactly right. Back in the summer of 93, little did we know what a major impact Mario Elie was gonna have when we got him from Portland for a bag of peanuts.
Here we see players on the Spers who serve the public by giving back to the comminity. How so? Their ardent attempt to save Middle Earth is one such endeavor, as seen by our camera man who was sneaking around during the exciting and deadly danger. That camera man made so bold as to praise Lord Barry and cry in a puddle of tears as his loss. Endless praise for Sir Rick of Mango Tree, AKA Bones, from the denizens who creep about in the bowels of the Spers laundry room. They are devastated and depressed at being foiled yet again by the Rockets. Great tales of woe! I won't attempt to relate them all simply because they are too much to bear. oh, goodness! The images above with their exciting tale give only a hint of the love and devotion Spers fans have for Barry, now to be gone forever, on down I-10... Which leaves me with one further comment. *Splud* (It's in the script. Barry likes it!)

Barry is a solid acquisition for the price! I can't wait for the next trade or acquisition. I think we're a solid contender once everybody stays healthy. Remember, the rockets haven't really implemented Adelman's offense yet! Last season still looked like Van Gundy offense!
We are adding a great player and person, and we are limiting Head minutes, even if barry is not a great defender he must be better than head because you cannot be equal or worse. The bad thing is that we reach the 70 million mark so resigning Landry will most likely cost us the dollar for dollar luxury tax
*SPLASH* WE GOT BARRY! OUR BENCH IS AWESOME! Line-up: Alston/Jackson/Barry/Head McGrady/Barry/Head Battier/Greene/Landry/Novak Scola/Landry/Dorsey Yao/Deke/Dorsey I'm really excited to see how Barry/Greene/Dorsey works
