I don’t think Tucker is at his best starting and playing heavy minutes imho. Gordon has been MIA this season.
at first it's like wtf... but the more i think about it, it's better than giving up a 1st round pick for the likes of kcp, bazemore, or jr smith goddam...still can't believe it's come to this tho
Agreed that Rockets are disappointing, but at the same time, it’s not like any other team is tearing it up either...
Rivers seems to be pretty good as long as he plays under control. Sometimes he thinks he is a star and tries to play to fast which leads to crash and burn.
Rank our Guards: Harden CP3 Ego Rivers/Green Knight MCW Does anyone Rank Rivers higher than or equal to Ego? Rocket River
That’s his issue, he really believes he’s an all star. If he can play within his role and skill set he would be fine but it’s those time where he shots to damn much that can kill you.
Rockets need to keep assets like first round picks for guys like Joe Harris, not that the Nets necessarily want to trade him, but that's the kind of guy one would be looking for.
Exactly. People making it seem like this is a lost season. But considering how bad we've been, rockets are only 2 games out of homecourt and 4 games from 3rd and then only another 0.5 game out of 1st/2nd. This season is far from lost
Rivers playing like he did with the Clippers is as good, actually better than the 37/30 shooting version of Gordon. The normal version of Gordon if that ever returns is obviously better.
If we are comparing ego right now to rivers at his absolute best? I'll take rivers. But I doubt we get rivers at his absolute best
Understood but I think we can all agree . .. both are better than Knight and MCW Significantly Rocket River
I've detested Austin Rivers for years, and I love this signing. As good a pickup as we could have asked for without giving up an asset. Much needed, given CP's situation. Yes, Rivers is an *******. But now he's our *******.
Interesting read about Rivers. We have many nice guys on this team, he is definitely not one of them. If he can add some toughness to this team and understanding his role, that will be great. https://clipperholics.com/2018/01/19/austin-rivers-new-nba-villain/
I never argued they were different. As for thei utility to this team. They are similar. Tge expectations and skillset needed for the team are the same. Get in to spell our backcourt for some minutes. Also, the defensive scouting report on both are generally the same, take away the drive until they show consistency in their J. None of their career milestones up to now will matter because they are not expected to put us over the hump. Watch how dantoni will make this painfully obvious how he'll play rivers like he did MCW at the start of the season - the same mins, usage and perhaps production. The problem was we constructed the team with players w redundant skillset and team value at the Gspot. Thats why the signing remains a headscratcher for me.
