I wonder what people will say if Paul misses 80% of this coming up season. I'm not saying he will but there's always that type of risk .
Four years is a bit much. Paul is regressing in skills, and years 3/4 could be painful. But if it was take it or leave it for the Rox, I would have taken it too. Even if his skills deteriorate toward the sunset of this term, he would be great in a mentor role. As for the next two years, I think he is close enough to his prime to help the Rox make a real run at it.
Last night I won 100 dollars at the Golden Nugget casino. I know most people lost money so Cp3 will be able to get paid.
CP3's experience and leadership will transfer to future Rockets. The length of the contract is good for the Rockets for stability and NBA's immaturity with the one and done deal. I believe the Rockets rewarded CP3 because of loyalty unlike Kawhi, or Lebron. We should never regret this contract because we will get CP3 as a Houstonian also unlike some Rockets who didn't give a fly about Harvey, or Santa Fe. Loyalty > Performance.
That's a lot of money for someone who is so injury-prone when he exerts himself. We need a good backup PG.
Less isolation = less injuries for Paul. Rockets have got to have a better game plan than what was shown in the playoffs. No one should ever just watch the other dribble the clock away. Run, screen, cut, move around. That was frustrating to watch. Paul thought he was Mighty Mouse.
Paul was getting the max regardless. Whether it was last year or this year. This year, he could have gotten the full 5 years. Rockets probably would have preferred 3. So, they met in the middle. At the end of the day they won 65 games and went up 3-2 in the WCF. And we saw how much they missed him in games 6 and 7. It is what it is.
We do need one with the 5.29 M if possible. There is a low chance with Tyreke perhaps. Otherwise, Melton will have to thrown into the deep end.
Well, it's like paying him 160M over something like 7 years for the service of two years. I'm down with that. Not my money. I know the signing is not just for his projected on-court performance. Chris Paul's value is more than that. Anyway, our guard rotation is flimsy. We need a good backup pg desperately.
God that is a lot of money for a 33 year old point guard that hurt his hammy on basically a non contact play. Glad he is back, but hope this doesn’t hamstring any efforts to improve the roster.
