Poor guy - he's been buried all season long. At least DMo got some garbage time minutes here and there during the season, TJones hasn't even been with the team much.

He has since training camp. Motiejunas is a rookie just like Jones, he managed to get PT and did some good with it. Jones got some early in the season and looked bad. Given the coaching staff really love 'Small Ball' it is tough but not impossible for him to play his way up in the off season.

Frankly, I don't see him having as much upside as Motiejunas and Robinson but if the kid can play he will have to work his way into it, since he is battling 2 other rookies for PT and his best hope without an injury is probably to outplay Greg Smith.

Jones is a D-league ALL-STAR coming of the bench for RGV. He is for real; watch tape of him in both the D-league and Summer. He is / was the best rookie we had going into the season (even over Lamb). He gets lost now and then but over all he is more than soild.

    thought
    - Jones maybe better off with RGV. I like McHale... Jones will not see the court this year with him as the coach AND Nurse is a better coach then McHale to learn under. - long term better fit for Jones

    - Jones can play small ball and hit the long ball... Plus block shots and play some man / team D. He MAY BECOME what most thought A. Randolph was to be. He has the skill set to play 3-5.

-Please don't trade him away, PLEASE

Exactly. People just need to chill and watch what happens. The coaches watch these guys play in practice everyday and have a better idea about of what they're capable of than any of us. If D-Mo and TRob continue to struggle I'm sure TJones we get some minutes. These guys are all so young I don't really expect any of them perform consistently well at this point.

The funny thing is that I see a lot of Morey fanboys going nuts about Tjones getting sent to the D-league, and for some reason it's a little hard for them to wrap their vaginas around the fact that it is the sole decision of their boy, Daryl Morey, to assign any player to any location. No one else's.

I'd really like to see if either TJones or TRob can develop into a solid 3 (especially TRob since he is a bit smaller and therefore quicker). That would give us great rebounding and defense. We could shift Parsons to the 2 when needed or get him some more rest.

no surprised if T-Rob got traded later.
Rocket needs star player for C or PF and
that is almost the only last piece missing in current rotation.

PPat, TDG, Morris all forced by management
to get minutes to show their trading values.
This is so clear now but blurt in previous time before trading

I think the Rockets are looking for more energy from Jones. The NBA is all about high energy and he's still a little too chill out there. His calm demeanor will probably help him long run, but the game will have to slow down for him first.

He looks like a mix of Tmac & Chris bosh in terms of attributes and game styles.
