Sorry if I sounded rude before, I was just trying to make a point. I just think Amare is a fine player and never got his due on this BBS. Then again I'm a Suns' fan, so I may be biased. :)

not to be rude. . . . but we have heard this stuff before
    [not you but in general]

I remember . .. MAKING THE PLAYOFFS WOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH
FOR ME . . .that was the mantra from last summer

and obviously. . . making the playoffs was no where near
good enough for most folx here

cetainly isn't for me...not for a team that's 4 years into "the plan." not for a team in a league where more teams make the playoffs than don't. i can think of a whole lotta piss-poor teams that have made the playoffs in the past 10 years. getting your butt dismissed in the first round of the NBA playoffs is nothing to write home about.

If T-Mac doesn't fit into JVG's gameplan, then we will fire JVG.

I'm a JVG supporter, but we're talking about T-mac here..

    T-MAC!!

    GO CD!

Does one not expect demands by TMac to be excessive, so in reality even if there can be a match here there has to be sense made of it?

Since SF is likely to be the 'pawn' er, piece which makes the package then one assumes SF could also be in demand elsewhere.

I want TMac. I just hope that if Rox get him it is in the best deal possible to ensure success on the court -- and not a total mortgage for the next 6-7 years.

He won't even need to demand it. If JVG can work T-Mac and Yao into a system, Les will fire him. He's on the hotseat anyway, having argued with Les before.

Do we have to wait till July 1?

    Rarrrr.

Ok, so I will fill the remaining month and 5 days building a team around Yao and Tmac. Start with what we'll have :

Will it be Francis + Cato + TE for TMac, Hill and Lue?

    Yao/nothing
    Taylor/Spoon/Padgett?
    Tmac/Boki
    Cat/JJ/Pike
    Lue/nothing

Holy crap! We need to trade an extra 2 guard for a point. We need a starting power forward and backup center.

    expendable with value:

    Taylor, Cat

    expendable :

    Spoon, Pike, Padgett

    other :

    MCE
    -------------------------------
What can we get with Taylor Cat, Spoon, Pike, MCE?

    Points :

    # 1 option - Brent Barry.

Here's a few : Brent Barry s&t for Mo Taylor.
    MCE for Brent Barry

    # 2 option -

Antonio Daniels ? Jamal Tinsley ? Who can we get?

    Cat for either one.

    Power Forward :

not likely but would be nice:
Cat + Pike for Al Harrington? In my dreams.
Cat or Taylor for Donyell Marshall
    MCE for Okur
    Cat for Kurt Thomas

We could bring back some cba talents like Tmo and T.Brown.

Especially after the Heat went further in than us. Yes, I know, they are in the Eastern Conference. They still went further in the playoffs than us with Ron Jeremy as their coach.

If the rockets can keep franchise and dish other players for Mcgrady, it would be an ideal situation for the rockets. Mcgrady can play the 2 or 3 and at times point forward. There is no doubt he's a very good player. I think it would, however, be a mistake for the rockets to involve Francis,, who is a dynamic guard and important part of the rockets. We have seen Francis adapt to Van Gundy's system (2004 playoffs) and it seems very probable that he will get better next season. I think Mobley should be involved in the deal. Mobley a good defender and decent shooter, is a poor passer and has a habit of making poor decisions. Perhaps a package of Mo taylor, mobley, nachbar and/or draft picks?

Wow...it's too much to give up for T-mac. I would do it ONLY if magics also send us their first draft pick this year.
