First of all, this is Marc Stein we're talking about.

    Having said that ... wow.

Right. Maybe slightly more reliable than Peter Vecsey.

My guess is that we would have to take Howard or hill's contract and giveing up one of our short contract's in return could you imagine if we took hill's contract and he came to H town balling WoW that would be great.

    wait, it says

In seperate paragraphs, and it says peddling francis for starters, does that mean francis as a start to a trade, or trading francis for a pass first pg and a tough pf as houston rocket starters?

considering that the Suns might be offering Marion and Johnson - I would would have to believe that they have the better deal on the table.

(and why would the Magic want Amare ?!?! they already have gooden and howard)

Because Amare averaged 20 pts and 9 rebs in just his 2nd year.

You put Amare on a team where he is the focus of the offense, and there will be a decline in his production. Right now he is riding the fact that Marion and to a lesser extent Johnson get double teamed a whole lot, allowing him to run freely. Put him on a team where he is the focus, and other teams defenses will double and triple team him. Yao is putting up respectable numbers even though he is double and tripple teamed (he also has Cat and Jackson to punish the other team for doubling.) Amare won't have that, so other teams won't mind leaving the rest of the team open.

It's what teams have been doing to McGrady all year. If Tracy had some consistant outside threats, Garady (sp) has been out all year, he would have had a chance. In other words, Amare might avg 20 and 10 a night, but he will be shooting too many shots, and his team will suffer for it.

Phoenix would never trade Amare for Mcgrady.

Because Amare is a badass. Joe Johnson is not so bad himself. And they might land the #1 pick giving them Okafor.

    C-Okafor
    PF-Amare
    SF-?(Can gooden play the 3?)
    SG-?
    PG-Johnson

That is not a bad start. They get younger and maybe even better.

Well I ain't gonna complain if we got ourselves Mc Grady..... How about y'all? Question for everyone though. Do you think Mc Grady has better leadership skills than Francis? I am yet to be convinced that Yao is ready to assume that role, so I'm really hoping if we do let go of the Franchise that we are receiving someone who can take the reigns.

Joe Johnson and Shawn Marion are too much to give up. If the Suns manage to sign either Nash or Okur (for them, preferably the latter) they should be right up there in the WC standings again. Not that I'd be happy about it.

Nice trade, but then we will have three starting caliber shooting guards. Unless either Mobley or JJ is part of the package. I suppose McGrady could play the 3.

I don't think it mention anything that we are pushing Francis for TMac trade. Its more like Francis is on the trading block with the rest of the other players that was mention. So it's pretty official that Francis is on the trading block!! Yippee!:p

That whole section of the article is about teams willing to trade for T-Mac. It means that the Rox are offering a package that STARTS with SF.

Of all the superstars purportedly on the trading block -- Chris Webber, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, etc. -- the consensus remains that none of them is more likely to actually move than Orlando's Tracy McGrady.

.........does that mean he thinks steve is not a superstar
