Rockets pursuing Marc Gasol

Gasol was a 15 and 10 guy year before last. Stats took a hit with Randolphs great season and Gay becoming a better player!

I don't think Memphis will match cause they're getting Josh McRoberts from Indiana for OJ Mayo. If we sign Marc Gasol, we won't have cap space to sign Nene. That's why we need to get LA and Orlando together to start up a three way trade where we get Pau, Orlando gets Bynum, and LA gets Dwight. GASOL BROS front court would be so damn ugly but it'd also be the filthiest front court in the NBA.

 

Memphis will do a trade with Pacers for MrRoberts for OJmayo... they have a back up already... i bet they knew this would happen. Dwest to Indiana makes McRoberts expendable.

Majo becomes expendable since Martin will probably head over there....

Pacers are going to be good this year...
Memphis probably doesnt miss a beat with these trades...

Marc is a sleeping beast.... worth it imo.

 

Marc Gasol is worth a max contract. He is still young, you can build around him, and Memphis hardly used him right with Randolph in there. Love this move if they can get it done.

 

Wouldnt have the trade piece to offer Memphis in a sign n trade. Nene was not a smokescreen IMO. P Gasol/Nene might actually fit better to win now than Gasol/Gasol.

However, I would rather build around M. Gasol than P. Gasol at this point in the franchise if you are picking one or the other. You have a franchise center for the next 5 to 8 years. P. Gasol/Nene screams now.

Finally going after the right Gasol! Hope we can get him for nothing or only guys like Thabeet, Hill or CBud.

But Martin would look real good for the Grizzlies - and they might be alright to part with Mayo and Navarro...

 

Buddy, he got almost 15 and 10 in his second year in the league, his numbers fell last year because of Randolph and we all know how he's the ultimate black hole, once he gets the ball its going towards the basket. His FG% is above 50% and gets about 1 ot 2 blocks a game.....what the hell more do you need considering nobody want to come to Houston??!!

 

I wonder if Morey really believes he can nab M. Gasol.

If anything I think this is a move to lock up Memphis' entire payroll for the next 5 years.

IMO Gasol is superior to Nene. He's a better rebounder and passer than Nene.
