Wow, kinda caught off guard with this one. Pretty sure this thread is soon to be 300 pages long but this is interesting that the Rockets are really considering going to the max level to sign Gasol. The only question is, how much are they going to give up. Martin is sure to go, but who else??? Hopefully just a massive TE.
After signing Rudy Gay and Zeke they would surely be in the tax. I just don't see how they'd be able to find a taker for Rudy gay and his max contract in 3 days Checkmate.
very interesting!. Memphis will do a trade with Pacers for MrRoberts for OJmayo... they have a back up already... i bet they knew this would happen. Dwest to Indiana makes McRoberts expendable. Majo becomes expendable since Martin will probably head over there.... Pacers are going to be good this year... Memphis probably doesnt miss a beat with these trades...

There was an OJ Mayo-McRoberts trade with the Pacers that fell through at the last trade deadline. They filed the trade in too late after agreeing on it. So I'd guess Scola.
Far better than trading for Pau in my opinion, but what would Memphis want? They have a pg, sf, pf, we need the center can't offer one, Kmart?
I had a feeling that they were trying to open up more cap in the Pau trade so they could offer the max to Marc, not Nene... Nene was a smoke screen in my opinion.
He can do a lot more than that. He's pretty damn limited in Memphis with Zach Randolph being the primary option in the post as well as gobbling up all the rebounds.
Gotta work something out with Memphis. Who do they want, who are we willing to give up? I have the feeling if it goes down, it will be multiple players coming and going.
