I'm gonna leave my night completely open and check Stubhub and Craigslist at the last minute for the people who panic and lower prices tremendously ha
It's simple economics- Rockets win = increased demand for Game 6 Tickets. When demand goes up, so does the price.
The reason prices are high is because the demand just skyrocketed. Its a b**** move by the Rockets organization but its business. You can't really blame them.
If you're willing to pay that much for tickets how can you blame them for having that price? The value of the product is mainly determined by how much the customer is willing to pay. If you think you're getting ripped off don't buy. Plain and simple.
I got 4 tickets for $81 a piece on Rockets.com. Section 423 - Row 4 No one is forcing yall to buy the tickets if yall think the price is too high. The same tickets I got on there are going for about $200 on stubhub. The place is going to be electric and if we can somehow manage to win game 6 and 7, we'll be witnessing a part of NBA history by being the first team ever to come back down 0-3. Well worth the price.
I didn't like that they lied to me and said my CCs had the wrong info when I tried to process it almost 10 times just so they could jack up the price another $20. What's the point of the system if it doesn't hold the tickets for you at the price you have them? They already jacked it up $20. I will not pay another $20 extra just because I have to fill out 8 different pages to buy tickets. Am I wrong? I think that's a b**** move, so I didn't buy the tickets.
i was happy to get into the game for less than $100 per ticket. Playoff gouging has been going on forever...it's expected.
I didn't know that. When I bought tickets in 06, 07, and 09 the system was perfect and the prices were great.
If i'm running a business I would do the same if the demand was up. But since I'm a college student, damn you Rockets.
I couldn't go to a website in '94 and '95 but if I walked up to the Summit with $100 i could get in. the price on the ticket would be like $35. even for texans season tickets, the price goes up for each round of the playoffs.
I kind of agree it's a b**** move. But the Rockets will have absolutely zero problems selling them at that new price. So there's no reason why they should hold it for you at a lower price. It's market at work.
That's what it comes down to. The price to see it live wasn't worth it. I'm glad I was wrong. I called the other two spreads today. I don't see what's wrong with thinking Durant will get all the calls at home, but the Rockets have done an excellent job of denying him the ball and taking him out of his game.
