I hope JB does extremely well. But his success will depend on one thing... does he hold these guys accountable? If he does that, then we have a REAL chance at turning this thing around.

It is much safer to have a proven coach. However, I am afraid that many of the big name coaches won't agree with Morey either.

Morey : The only issue for this team right now is NOT RESPONDING!

    ------------------------

Looks like a good time for Verizon to be a Rockets sponsor and drop Sprint and T-Mobile.

Exactly. Morey can't fire the players for losing respect towards the coach, so McHale has to be the one out.

Verizon sucks ass especially with their terrible VOLTE network, and their unreliable fallback methods.

American telegraph and telephone is where it's at.

Also, Verizon is now the NBA's official wireless carrier.

Haha! I'm a big believer in Social Dynamics and "body language speaks louder than words." Daryl response was something you do when you avoid full commitment while saving face. This keeps the person emotionally invested while you look around. ;) It was the right move at moment.

Will the players respond to JB? It's not like he's been silent. He's been just as vocal on the sidelines next to Mchale. I don't see him taking this team to the next level but understand he will have to do for now.

It's over. Show some respect to a HOF player and a great man.

Milkhair and McFail are just disrespectful and shows what type of person you are.

Teams always respond after the coach is fired. BAD TEAMS win games after the coach is fired. Us winning tonight will mean nothing...

Even if McHale didn't deserve it he should have been let go. The team needed a jolt. As others have said now it's on them or as Morey/Les said there will be more changes until we get what we all want. Love it.

Even the Lin teams played harder than these guys. The team should be embarrassed.

still need to win. the bad teams the rockets have lost to have actually been dangerous teams, not saying losing was acceptable. the blazers on the other hand are completely toothless.

Players started getting lazy... reading their press clippings... losing competitive edges... absolutely zero off-season training... forgetting they were a fluke-ish 6 minutes away from being wiped off the court by the Clippers.

TBH, a 4-1 series loss to the Clippers probably makes this team "better" going into this season than the 4-1 series loss to the Warriors in the WCF.

definitely still need the win. And the blazers have firepower at the guard positions which are our two weakest positions defensively. I wouldn't say they are worst than the nuggets, nets, or depleted Mavs
