I think at about this time, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to make a fairly accurate Mock Draft (power to you if you win Mock Draft Madness). But, here are some things I think the Rockets will most likely want to do on draft day (in order of best to worst case scenario). I personally want #2.

    1. Rockets find a way to pry away #4 from the Bulls by giving picks and Cato. At 4, they pick Battier. IF they find away to keep #23, it will be Ken Johnson. Otherwise, they will BEG ON THEIR KNEES for Dream to come back and resign Mo. This probably will not happen, although I think Cato still could be a Bull before the season starts.

    2. Rockets trade #13 and #18 to NJ for #7. NJ needs a SF and a Center and they don't need stars, just role players to compliment Kmart, DONYELL MARSHALL, and Marbury. The week before the draft, convince teams like Boston, ATL, and GState that they need Gasol BADLY, and hope that one of them picks Gasol (kinda of like what they tried to do with Moiso last year). If all goes well, their man Rodney White will be their at #7. If White isn't available, then expect them to either pick Joe Johnson or settle for Loren Woods. If they get a SF at #7, Ken Johnson is the man at #23. If they draft a C, then Morris is the guy at #23.

    3. Houston can't trade up. Every team REFUSES to trade down because they want "the next KG" or the next "Dirk". Sadly Houston will probably take Micheal Bradley or Troy Murphy at #13, and Morris at #23. Then, they'll probably trade #18 to someone for either a future pick or for the magic words, "future considerations. Obvously, this is worst case scenario unless "future considerations" means #18 is packages for Webber or GHill.

Everyone has us angling to move up for Gasol, Radman, Battier, or Rodney White with our first pick (5-13 somewhere) and then automatically picking T Mo at #23. And most don't think we will keep all 3 picks, so ...

Aren't those selections redundant? Two 3s.
