If Lin was able to improve his shot, why would you assume Rubio will not? He's 2 years younger and has much better passing and court vision than Lin.
Playing on the less talented team actually benefits Rubio's assist numbers. He doesn't have a ball dominating 2-guard next to him.
Strictly based on current performance Point Guard 1) CP3 2) Curry 3) Rose 4) Westbrook 5) Irving 6) Lillard 7) Parker 8) Rondo 9) Deron Williams 10) Conley 11) Wall 12) Holiday 13) Lawson 14) Vasquez 15) Rubio 16) Dragic 17) Lin / Beverley Shooting Guard 1) Harden Small Forward 1) LeBron 2) Durant 3) Carmelo 4) Paul George 5) Paul Pierce 6) Deng 7) Batum 8) Parsons Power Forward I won't list all of them. We're last, or close to it. Center 1) Mark Gasol 2) Howard 3) Hibbert 4) Noah 5) Cousins 6) Horford 7) Monroe 8) Asik #17 PG #1 SG #8 SF #30 PF #8 C
Lin - anybody but Felton Harden - none Paraons - no one is as beautiful as parsons, so none PF? Anybody Asik - Dwight Howard, Lopez is overrated
Harden - I'm a believer that he has firmly established that he will be the #1 SG going into next season. Parsons - LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, Nicholas Batum, Luol Deng, Danilo Gailinari PF - C'mon. We are dreadful here. Asik - Marc Gasol, Dwight Howard, Brook Lopez, Al Jefferson, Al Horford, Greg Monroe, DeMarcus Cousins, Nikola Vucevic, Joakim Noah, Tyson Chandler, Larry Sanders, Roy Hibbert, Andre Drummond, Javale McGee
Why would you assume Lin wont be able to improve his passing then? Also, Lin improved his shot throughout the season, Rubio not so much. Currently Rubio is shooting so atrociously that letting him take a wide open jumper is far and away the defense's best option. If anything Rubio should have improved this year with a team all to his own.
Not sure if Rubio would be even a worse "fit" than Lin. Worse at shooting. Needs ball in hand even moreso, etc., etc.
And Lopez would be questionable at that...Dwight would mean a max contract. Overall, i think we have a pretty damn good deal.
PG: Around 10-15 Pgs sorry Lin but you need to improve. SF: Do we take contract into consideration? Obviously Lebron and Durant. Also Paul George. I feel Melo is grossly overrated but him as well if contracts are not taken into consideration(he is also not a good fit0. PF: Too many to count. C: Dwight, Hibbert, Noah, maybe a few more but for the most part I think I am good with Asik.
Forgot about Brook Lopez. I would probably take him too as well. I say probably only because I am not sure how effective he is in our system. Now that I think about it I might not take Hibbert for this reason as well. He is slow.
The **** are you smoking? We got so many idiots homers here it's pathetic. Dwight Marc Gasol Noah Lopez Cousins Horford Monroe Bosh Will surpass Asik: Sanders Vucevic
Im a fan of Rubio but he would be absolutely terrible in this system. He NEEDS the ball in his hands. And if you think Lin is a bad spot up shooter, oh man you're in for a long ride with Rubio. Rubio's fine in Minnesota
This is silly. PG: Lin -> CP3 SG: Harden SF: Parsons -> LBJ PF: Greg Smith -> Bosh C: Asik -> D12 6th man: Beverley -> Lamar Odom
I think you are listing all the players who you think are better than Lin, which I mostly agree with except for Dragic, Walker, and Vazquez who are pretty much the same level as Lin. Lowry is worse. But for this team I would only rather have like 10 or so PGs based on their style of play and current contract. And thats excluding Lin's potential.
Eric Bledsoe over Lin as well. Was very impressed with him this year...he'll be a starting PG very soon, and a very good one at that.
Hm. I would hold off on him, especially not now. I think he'd have to fight Beverley tooth and nail before he even gets close to threatening Lin for a starting PG position if he was for the Rockets.
