    This thread was amazing!

But lets all keep in mind that the Rockets team of today is night and day with the one pre-allstar break. Not because of just the negative effects of an injured tracy, but like we've all been saying of the team playing now - despite them becoming/playing so much greater than they've been? They still have room and (for the most part) has been consistant in getting better!

Just consider that this more cohesive unit would have had the better ability to defend the Lakers and close out the games more or so than the squad before, right?? Jazz game aside, I've grown more and more proud of the genuine team ball our Rox have been playing with that is so rare to find in the NBA now and days, I wouldn't doubt that this team could close gaps and heal defects in our game over a 7-game stretch against anyone, and maybe even the Lakers

Agreed! I think we have a good chance if we have homecourt advantage...

we had homecourt advantages for both of the two series against Jazz in the past two years, but...

homecourt advantage may help us a little bit but it is absolutely not a guarantee for a ticket to the second round. We played Game 7 with Jazz at toyota center in 07 but we still lost that "win or go home" game, even though the dream was also rooting for the rockets there. we didn't even put the series to the 7th game last year, 2-4 we lost again to the jazz.

I think it makes more sense for our players to relax a bit in order to save some energy for the playoffs than to work their bottoms off running for the homecourt advantage, anyway the kings would have no chance to beat the laters even if all the games were to be played in sac. we are running on a good rail with our players all healthy, and i hope our team will keep it up instead of breaking it by getting one of our core players injuried.

Only if we can keep healthy till the postseason, we will definitely beat our opponent whoever it's gonna be and break into the second round no matter whether we have the homecourt advantage or not.

Home advantage is very important, but if we wanna to go further, we ought to win road games..
