Spurs lost to Celtics, who were missing Garnett and Perkins. Spurs are only 2.5 games ahead of us. We currently own the tiebreaker against the Spurs with 2 wins and a loss. If the Spurs and Rockets tie it up, we will have the higher seed.
march 30 at SA... gotta win that game or go by division and/or conference record, which are pretty close SA DIV CONF 6-5 19-13 HOU DIV CONF 4-6 16-13
Yep, and the Spurts have to play the Argonauts next then, on to Cleavageland. Like I said, looks like a bad week for SA! Meanwhile, the Rockets have Portland and Sacramento coming up. The Rockets just have to keep up the W's and force everyone else in our division and our conference rivals to keep pace. Even the good teams are going to lose every now and then so I'm not worried about the Rockets position right now. They keep up their play like this, it will not be long before the Rockets will be back in the thick of the playoff race. So far so good in the month, as I predicted the only games that look tough for us are @ NO and @ Clev and then 4 home games sandwiched between to close the month. The Heat, Bulls, Wiz and Griz. To make my goal of 3 losses or less for February, the Rockets have to go 5-3. I think we are in VERY good shape for that. Hell, right now with our new found scoring balance and more consistent improving defense, losing once in the remainder of the month might not be a stretch. Win or lose though, that Hornets game, the Rockets need to play well and compete for 48 complete minutes. We need to see that.
I know it's off topic, but I just watched Saving Private Ryan for the first time in HD.....and OH MY GOD!!!! That opening scene grabbed my soul like never before. It just makes you appreciate what others before you have done..... Anyway, I think it's incredibly feasable for the Rox to finish top 5. I just wish they would hurry up and get there to save my blood pressure....lol.
This is lame. The east isn't helping us at ALL when it comes to beating teams ahead of us. But then again, there's a reason why they're better. We REALLY have to focus on us winning our games and not worrying about other teams losing, which the rockets are finally doing. We're finally being accountable for our own destiny to make it into hte playoffs.
Nice day for us yesterday!!!! SA lost and also Dallas, but it would have been better if Denver lost too. Keys game for today: SA At Toronto: If they lose, they will have 18 loses. Importance: 7 Houston Vs Portland: We should win this one!!! Importance: 10 Some miracles that would be good for us: Charlotte beating Lakers Philadelphie beating Dallas

We are one injury on another team away from catching the whole pack. That's what its going to come down to, who can stay healthy the longest in the Western Conference.
I hate the feeling of being on the outside looking in. I'd much rather be on the inside looking further in!
Mavs are totally sucking without Stackhouse and Devin Harris these days. Spurs sucking without Parker. Finally the injury bugs have befallen on our foes and not us! It's very possible we could end up being the top seed in our division.
