Totally agree. Im pissed as well because Detroit was sliding badly and that pick looked very very promising. I've been scouring over all the draft prospects in DraftExpress the last few days and all for not.
I'm not happy that Thornton is back. I hope he doesn't play anymore this year. I think he kills chemistry on the court.

Btw, to anyone who's celebrating it's extremely likely that we lose DMo this summer. So congratulations on having your boy around another two months.

My guess is a combination of realization that their playoff hopes had died, legit worries about his back AND sticker shock after quick talks with agent all led to them realizing that they were better off not giving up their pick. Just to be clear, it isn't a matter of pass/fail on a physical. The team gets to decide if they are accepting the player when they see the meds, so they ultimately give pass/fail grade themselves. Teams have taken injured players before.
why would we agree to extend the deadline? if the request even comes up you can assume there's a 95% chance they are looking to void the deal...
Another bad thing about this trade being voided is that it was always assumed either D-Mo or Jones would be moved at the deadline to get something in return as they aren't both going to be re-signed. Now, we have both of them and get value for neither.
Why do people keep spewing this ignorant ****? The guy played like a playmaker as well. Did you see the passes to Capela and Dwight when he wasn't thinking shoot first? My guess is inconsistent playing time, guys not passing to him at certain times and having to prove himself every single game is causing him to focus on just getting points on the boards. It's also partly because nobody else can shoot like him and nobody else was producing points.
But seriously. 1. Who comes off worse? Morey or SVG? Was Morey trying to sell SVG a damaged good? Or does SVG get the bad rep for voiding the trade? 2. How does this affect our on and off court chemistry? With two guys who were pretty much told they have no future here and were shipped off only to come back No two ways about this. At this point, Rockets lose this trade. There is something seriously wrong with DMo's back that Detroit doctors decided to void it. Rockets could lose DMO, TJ and to a very lesser extent MT for NOTHING
