Maybe it is good speculation considering how possible sutors for Berry have narrowed and it looks like Fisher may be back with LA after Rudy talked with him. But who know, he may know something coming out of the Rockets camp and promised he wouldn't say publicly.

ESPN just reported that the Knicks have bought out Moochie's contract and that Carroll Dawson is offering him 6 years 70 million.

Sweet! Maybe we can get Spud Webb to come out of retirement. We can have our very own Lollipop Guild of pg's!

Hopefully the Spurs will blow their wad on trying to keep Ginobli leaving them unable to afford Barry.

Isn't he already under contract with the Rocks for the next 50 years? ;)

I hope it's true. If this is true it's likely Brent Barry, love to shore up that position and then go after some size!

Yeah, I'd seriously love to hear we've got our starting point guard locked so we can start hearing what big men they may be talking to.

Not exactly. Manu's deal looks like it starts at about $6.5 mil, which leaves them with about $7.5 mil to spend. Of course there's still Bowen to sign. But their downfall was lack of outside shooting so Barry or Jackson are likely targets.

Once they sign Bowens I doubt they'll be able to afford Barry, at least in comparison to the Rockets' offer. The Spurs could get some good, cheap shooting anyway (like the Rockets did with Pike). Steve Jackson is also still an option for them.

Portland is ridiculously deep. Why would he go to Portland and possibly get reduced playing time!?

They're deep in the frontcourt, but they don't have much in the backcourt other than Stoudamire.

I may be in the minority, but Damon jones would be a nice low budget addtion. Offer him 4yrs at 3.5 per and see what happens. He's 26 or 27 and played pretty good in the playoffs and when Ford went down.

Don't know what he big deal is w/ Brent Barry. He is not a proto-typical PG. Fisher would be the way to go.
