Writer must have been a Rox fan or a moron, no way does Cook start over Hansbrough even if this is true...

This should go in the random trade thread, bleacherreport is not reliable, if I wanted to I could go on bleacher report right now and say the rockets are about to trade our water boy and tmac for mo williams and LJ.

    Clutch,

I think it's time to RealGM the Bleacher Report articles.

He obviously has no connections to the Pacers, if he thinks Brian Cook is starting over Hansbrough.

I was really hoping we finally got something good.

    1) granger is amazing, but injury prone... still he's a hell of a young talent.

    2) murphy would be perfect next to yao.

    3) the only downside is dunleavys contract, but he's still serviceable.

i'd rank this trade possibility #2. after iguodala/dalembert, but better than butler/james. even though the rockets would handcuff their cap, they would get a lot of incoming talent.

BIG YES to this trade. It actually makes sense for pacers. If they aren't selling tickets than they need to break up the team.

I agree... this is getting a bit silly. I don't know if their link should be censored, but I think we need to stop bleacherreport threads as news, etc. New threads are way over the top.

i'm sorry, but it's a stretch to just get granger for tracy and cook. no way they throw in two of their most solid role players along with it.

pipe dream if i ever saw one. maybe throw scola in there and it starts to make a little more sense...

I was thinking the same thing earlier. BR has no credibility. Just fans throwing out their opinions. For instance, saw something on there that said T-Mac to NY was the most logical choice out there and makes sense. Trade was T-Mac and Lowry for Mobley and Harrington or Harrington and Jefferies or some bogus bs. But agree, time to RealGM the BR articles or even lock the BR threads. No real credibility.

Funny that I was just messing around with the ESPN Trade Machine, as far as these two teams.

No way I dreamed we'd aim for Grainger, though.

Grainger could very well be a 4 in our system.

The trade, as listed, is a bit lopsided. I could see Indiana wanting to get their hands on Carl Landry, who attended Purdue (right?)

Those other players....well, I'd want to find another home for them, one that brings back expiring contracts. In any case, such a deal would preclude other deals. Would HAVE to.

In any case, I'm sure the teams have spoken. Doesn't mean it will all come to fruition.

this would be crazy if that happened

    Brooks/Lowry
    Granger/Dunleavy Jr./Taylor
    Battier/Ariza/Budinger
    Scola/Landry/Hayes
    Yao/Murphy/Andersen/Dorsey

If this trade happened wouldn't we have to let Lowry and Scola go because we would go WAY over the LT or would Les just pay up and bite the bullet next season with all that talent???

The way he writes, he is making it like this is real discussion going on between the two teams, but I doubt he would be the one to know anything or report it first.

So Larry Bird thinks Brian Cook is the second coming of Larry Bird?
