What are you talking about? Did you even bother to read the exchange between me and TheFreak? He is the one that said the team would finish with 40 games on the mediocrity treadmill. You should direct your questions to him as to which player is the next Dirk, LeBron or Durant since he is the one making claims that a team with an average age of about 23 years old is going to win 40+ games and challange for the 8th play-off seed.

My point was that if this team does that well then we will have something to be excited about because a team with an average age of about 23 years is a long way away from their prime. If a team that is still a few years away from their prime can win 40+ games and challenge for the 8th play-off spot how good do you think they will be when they reach their prime? Pretty damn good.

Of course LeBron and Durant were 1st and 2nd picks but Dirk and Steve Nash were 9th and 15th picks. So although I think the Rockets will win around 33 games and have a shot at a top three pick, if I'm wrong and TheFreak is right then the Rockets could very well have a Steve Nash or Dirk Nowitzki caliber of player on the team.

Vegas has the Rockets at 18:1 to win a ship. They expect us to be a playoff team.
