why dont we stop going for those chumps and go for a young center like we like to rebuild. How about a Marc Gasol?!?!?!

I mean he's big, young, and good. He will be really one day and he is strong. I think he is more durable than Yao. Well everyone is but I would love to have Marc Gasol on the Rockets. Imagine having a guy like him playing alongside Scola. Having him and Scola can cause a lot of problems for other teams.

    Trading for a center?

Well Morey said he will use the MLE on a free agent and trade for a center that we need. I mean what if Morey somehow make a good trade and land us Marc Gasol. He's young, big and good. Imagine having him and Scola playing along side.

We will be a rock solid team with Scola and Gasol playing together in the paint.

Why create a new thread when there is the same topic being discussed right under this one? I see you posted the same thing in that thread as well. Way to waste space smart one.

Then why should the Grizs make this deal with us as long as Marc is so good, big and young. To get such a deal done, Rockets would have to also give up some awesome talent equally as good as Marc.

Landry and Brooks combined might be barely enough for Marc, but neither of an individual can get us Marc. For sure we cannot afford to trade Landry and Brooks both for a decent center even though Marc is this good. Scola may be the only guy on our team that can be dealt 1-1 for Marc, therefore a combo of Scola and Marc is clearly off the reality.

Like Grizz were...with the indomitable R Gay, cool Conley and Hold the Mayo, the exciting rook from U of Pay'n'Go? What did the win, like 7 games?

Just curious - are Oberto and/or Smith on Morey's radar for inexpensive b/u support up front?

Okafor is my guy....Gasol is young and actually pretty decent. The Griz want to make sure Thabett is the real deal before moving Gasol. I know Okafor gets paid alot for a 14 and 10 guy but he would be ideal in the direction Morey wants to take this team. Gasol would probably have to be a deadline pick up once Thabett shows promise.

I found it interesting that the GM for Orlando said after the signing of Bass that they were waiting for other things to come through before they made a final decision on Gortat. Maybe it's a sign and trade to Houston. Simply my speculation or hopes.

Okafor is good but is a big risk with the contract He signed. It would tie down the Rockets and making significant moves would be harder to make thus improving would be stalled.

Things might be getting interesting as there are conflicting reports coming out from Dallas about Gortat staying or going...if he stay in Orlando I can see a possible sign and trade with the Rox.

Damn. That's really interesting about Gortat.

What if, when it all is said and done, we still end up with Gortat.

    Is Morey mortal?

I think the same thing gortat is the only center I can see morey making a move for..gortat , maybe okafor....if not it seems it'd have to be a big trade for bosh or Amare....otherwise it kills the cap room.

Chuck Hayes + asset (pick or rookie) plus trade exception?

Not legal. If Orlando decides to match the offer, they can not trade Gortat until December 15.

Would be great to have Him. A decent center that could help in the team's bid to make the playoffs. It would be interesting what Morey would do with the MLE.

    Well, there goes that.

Either way, I'm happy watching the Mavs get screwed over. It always brings me a certain type of joy that only failing Dallas sports can provide.

Has he signed an offer sheet? I don't remember him signing an offer sheet so I'm confused.
