The stars just align for this too much. Wall with Klutch. Bron been trying to trade Brodie for over a month and knows there are no takers. This story gets leaked to Stein to put out there. Rockets will demand that 2027 1st, buyout the rest of the season immediately if Brodie drops the player option. Brodie signs with Clippers.

Just need that trade for EGo and the stars align.

This would be a tanking move for sure, unless Westbrook agrees to sit out the season.

Meet your new tank commander, Russell Westbrick.

This, though I think LAL would need something else nominal to do it for a FRP.

I don't see the big deal. He's never stepping on the court for us...

It wouldn't happen without the following:

    1) He agrees to a reasonable buyout prior to the deal
    2) We get an unprotected pick from the Lakers in about 4 or 5 years

They have little in the way of assets to move that have positive value... THT? If things go right he's a backup for us when we're good again... Reaves is there Gary Bird and minutes would be hard to come by... Nunn is a nice player but there are minutes issues there too...

Maybe a third team involved with other assets?

Who cares if russ will take a buyout or not? Just have him sit home and get paid like wall, if you can turn one bum sitting at home into a different bum sitting at home AND get a first? Hell ya

Just giving an example of what I'm saying about 3rd team, not trying to turn into fake trade thread...

    To Rockets
    Westbrook (buyout)
    Horton-Tucker
    Nunn
#1 pick from Philly light protection
#1 pick from Lakers in 2024 no protection

    To Sixers
    Gordon
    Wood
    Wall

    To Lakers
    Simmons
    Harris

We would be able to pick up additional draft comp involving Philly and then possibly flip Nunn or THT for lates 1s or 2s... I would target picks 4 or 5 years out because there are only so many young guys you can have at a time...

Might save a pick from Philly and swap Theis for Wood...leaves us thin in front court... just spitballing to show how raf could get creative...

Earliest 1st LAL can trade is 2027. Philly and Rockets say no.

why they wouldnt play westbrook? he would be perfect in Cylus system

and since silas is best at development he could develop russ even more and we could trade him later for more assets
