I'm down for it if Westbrook agrees to not play. If he does play, he'll have to compete for our backup center position.

Westbrook would be more open to a buy out or would be benched.

Nobody would think this of the Rockets at this point. It'd likely be the opposite, really.

There is absolutely no way Russ would sit out quietly.

I love it if we could pull off the swap and pick up a draft asset, but it would almost certainly have to coincide with Russ agreeing upfront to a buy out. This all seems like a long shot, but if the Rox and Lakers were willing, it doesn’t seem crazy that Russ might take a buy out.

Apparently the trade itself was pushed more by Tilman than Harden. I recall that Harden wanted WB in addition to CP3, not in exchange for.

Why does he have to agree to not play - what is he going to do - force himself onto the court?

A player option huh? So he could opt out instead of sitting.

How you know you're not worth your MVP contract:

    • Your co-superstar leaves
    • Your team can't build a competitive roster around you
    • OKC trades you to Houston to start over
    • Houston trades you to Washington for a player they don't play
    • Washington trades you to LA and gets better
    • LA wants to trade you back to Houston for the player Houston traded Washington for Westbrook... who hasn't been playing

Finally the world can see that Westbrick sucks has always sucked an will continue to suck.....when players that get by on their athleticism start to wane, they suck.

Jalen Green needs to take notice and work on his fundamentals.

it mirrors Walls. And, perhaps???, more open to a buy-out…

    1. The WB for Paul trade has now equaled the Harden for Kmart trade in lopsidedness.

    2. Imagine if we would have just kept Paul and traded Harden instead.

    3. I’d do this deal for a FRP but if no FRP I would only do it if WB would accept a buyout.

Give us a pick and I'll do it for the lulz. Would be really good lulz. I'm out if they want to give us Nunn though. That's like getting 2 Westbrooks. Oh yeah, and the Lakers suck.

I wonder where a Laker 2027 1st round pic might fall.

    Late teens / early 20's?

    Not sure that's enough. A 1st & a 2nd? 2 2nds?

Could be anywhere from 5-15...They've got a pretty high built in floor (It's LA), but....there's going to be a bit of a crash once LBJ and AD are gone.

He always got injured like clockwork.

Rockets trading him forced a life change

He started eating better, Tom Brady style or something like that. Got fit.

What is more painful is the reality that we could still be contending. We could have made it work with Paul and Harden IMO.

I believe the Rockets feel Westbrook will accept less money on that
final season (because he is so competitive) and wants his FREEDOM,
where Wall will sit on it like a hen sitting on its eggs.
