    This x 10000.
It feels like the Rockets have been kicking $40M of dead or negative payroll down the road for 10 years, even though it has only been since Tilman decided "Chris Paul's contract was the worst he had seen in sports". No more.

    WRONG!

The victims are Rockets fans for Tilman trading an HOF player (and additional assets) for Russell Westbrook.

1 year with the Rockets? Have you seen his entire career? How about since he left the Rockets? Did you see the fat contract he got after he co-led his team to the NBA finals? Because I saw the last year Wall played for the Rockets and it was wwwaaaaayyy worse than anything CP3 has ever done.

Seeing as you hate CP3 so much, does your name sound kinda like Tilfart Fertits? Only person I know that would have traded CP3 AND multiple picks to the Thunder for a player much like Wall.

Wall+Wood for Russ+Salary filler, 2027 and 2029 unprotected would be my dream trade. Lakers will only go down from here.

He was iced out of the offense by a James Harden looking to break meaningless scoring records. It wasn’t as bad as you remember.

He paid that contract either way. Just with an aging Wall instead of an aging Paul.

Hate never came out of my mouth. I am hoping Wall can be like Paul and reboot his career. CP3 said himself he got A LOT better AFTER the trade, because he is/was NOT the player he once was. He made changes after the trade, which embarrassed him, both personal and professional. His last year with us was bad. At the time Westbrook was averaging a triple double & Paul was nothing more than salary filler to get legendary Westbrook.
Time tells another story but at the time of the trade player’s values didn’t line up and that is why the picks were used. Most thought Paul was done. Once again time is a harsh judge but that WAS the the thought process for most.

Wall is/was a very gifted player. His playing place is one of the fastest in the league. A pairing of him and Green with Porter at the 3 would be surreal. ALL this is already on the team, too.

    Loads of people
Most of the GARM Thought trading Paul for Westbrook was a major mistake, including Clutch. Since the trade came out of nowhere many were hoping it would work out. Many were also hoping would have a bounce back year. Everyone hated the multiple picks given up. That trade was undefensible then and is even worse now.

CP3 literally had 1 down year while recovering from a bad injury. Wall has had multiple years of bad play and even at his best was never the player CP3 was and still is. Wall would absolutely hurt the development of our players. The only reason to play him would be to further the tank next year.

I didn't mind trading cp3 (I was wrong ofcourse) bc I think from the moment we got him, injuries were a concern and then he had a bad year where he has clearly lost a step. I assumed this was the start of the end and if we can get out of the contract it is prob a good thing. I also assumed harden would stay with the rockets and the picks we gave up would be mid to late 20s. I didn't see the Westbrook fit in Houston but convinced myself that we are adding another dimension to our offense. Sadly for Houston, cp3 career took a upward trajectory after the trade and Westbrook's took a downward spiral.

I really hope Rafa pulls this off and screws over the Fakers.

word is they will consider trading Davis in the offseason as well as that draft pick and reload around Lebron. Looks like they want to broaden their options.

I don't think Lakers are keen on trading away their frp after that disastrous Steve Nash trade, esp for John ****ing Wall.

Anything can happen with all these old broken down vets. Top ten lotto picks could be worth a lot more with a lucky drop

The Lakers really don't have another option other than just running it back next season. No one is taking that contract unless they include draft picks.

Then hope your super old team doesn't break down all over again. Sign one-dimensional shooters and defenders to fill out the roster with the little money they have (and young people). Make Russel come off the bench as a small ball center, playing the role he did in Houston where he was excellent for those couple months, the first time he had been effective in years. Then Davis needs to man up and play a stretch 5 role. Him requiring a center to play next to him is a nonstarter if Westbrook is on the team.
