If the lakers are willing to offer an unprotected or barely protected 1st rounder in 2027 for a Wall Russ swap, even if we have to add more to the deal, we need to pull the trigger. That is a very valuable asset that u can use to help net you a franchise player.

Honestly, it’s not crazy to opt out of that. It’s a gamble but if I was his agent I’d say try to secure your last big nba deal. Aim for like 4 years and close to 100 million. Someone will bite. Secure the extra 55 mill or so.

Good luck and have fun with Westbrick! ;)

A trade with the Houston Rockets to ship out Russell Westbrook is on the proverbial table for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers, though, appear determined to stick with Westbrook through at least the rest of the season — which means holding onto their 2027 first-round draft pick for other potential trade opportunities.

Lakers Unwilling To Attach 2027 First Round Pick In Trade For John Wall

The Los Angeles Lakers are unwilling to include their 2027 first round pick in a possible trade of Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for John Wall.

Houston is interested in a trade of Wall for Westbrook, but only if they're incentivized to do so.

The Lakers aren't convinced Wall will be a meaningful upgrade, while surrounding a valuable trade chip. The Lakers also don't want to pay a premium to move on from Westbrook so soon after sending a number of assets to the Washington Wizards for him.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis encouraged the Lakers to trade for Westbrook rather than a deal Rob Pelinka had negotiated with the Sacramento Kings for Buddy Hield.

The Lakers still also hope that Westbrook could have a successful second half of the season, similar to his lone year with the Washington Wizards.

I counted 25! Ok, send this to Clips, Lakers, Heat + more GMs--here's what you need for your play-off run.

He is travelling on all of the first batch where he steps outside the 3 points line.... Watch his right foot - he sets it as the pivot then replaces it
(his left can't be a pivot since it is touching the ground as he catches the ball and then replaced outside the 3 points line)

Meh - who cares, it'll never get called! Just annoying aesthitically

Yeah and besides that they're mostly very casual shots that you won't be taking in a game situation. Just hoping for a Feb miracle.

While I don’t expect either to happen, it would be nice if Wall would go ahead and declare his free agency for this summer now so the Rockets could trade him as an expiring and get some kind of return, rather than him deciding after the season and just signing somewhere as a free agent, leaving the Rockets with nothing.

No matter, as I don’t think he’s got plans to become a free agent before 2023.

Yes, as long as you don't call your trade a mistake, I'm sure no one else will ever notice or call it a mistake.

Wall, Gordon and Brooks for Westbrook, THT, and the 2027 1st feels like a workable deal for both sides

LA swaps **** contracts but gets an explosive PG who is decent at catch and shoot and two legit shooters, which is what every successful LeBron team has had. We get a potentially valuable 1st for three guys who are not part of our core

He's been playing GM since he went to Miami. Led to 4 rings. If he's bad then....
