I enjoyed the open practice, but I thought it would have been augmented nicely with VG running some drills with the players.

Last year we only got 10 minutes of scrimmage as well, so I wasn't too disappointed.

The cool things from the scrimmage: Nachbar can actually make shots - it looked like his performance from Friday may be more typical than Monday and Tuesday. It looks like he is being groomed to be the 2nd option on the second team, instead of a role player on the first team.

Also, Stevie did a really cool bounce pass alley-oop to Cornell for a dunk on the break.

I wish we could have an open practice once a month instead of once a year.

i bought tickets for tomorrow's preseason opener...they're the $14 nosebleed tickets, but i'm pretty sure that the game won't be anywhere close to sold out and it should be easy to move down, especially since it's only a preseason game...

good luck moving down... i think you will have to have a ticket with corresponding lower bowl numbers just to get down there...

i sat in the nosebleeds during the 'test drive' and the seats were decent. the same or comparable to comaq nosebleeds.

Cato backed up Yao. I think it may have been Jameel Watkins playing center for the scrubbery.

    It was fun..

Moochie sucked as usual. Mike Wilks just blows right by him easily. He even missed one of the WARMUP layups...only one who did. :D And he was jacking up 3's for fun...he really sucks.

Nachbar was awesome! He looks good...slasher...and he made like 3 out of 4 shots. He shoots quite a bit...and he swished shots! Why doesn't he do this in real games?!?! Exactly..he looks good in person.

Cornell airballed a free throw..yes...and laughed..but he swished the 2nd one. He can jump! Please sign him and Wilks. Francis made a nice bouncepass alleyoop dunk to him...

    Francis is awesome.

    Griffin made a shot too!

Power dancers looked good...Amaechi is a nice guy.

Oh yeah. Food is way too expensive. I had nachos, popcorn, a gourmet brownie, some fries with green stuff on them, and a drink! So expensive.....average food.

I think Amaechi played center for the White team.

Yeah it was...Amaechi actually faked Yao out and drove it and actually made a layup! I was amazed...Watkins played power forward. Gabe Muoneke didn't do anything.

Oh yeah...I yelled out, WILL Y'ALL MARRY ME?!?! to the power dancers. :p just kidding

I wanted to get close to Yao but the line was long.
Everyone seemed to want his autograph. Tell me if anyone got close enough and saw differently ... From where I sat, he looked sad and tired ... He sat and signed one card after another without looking up. I don't think he enjoyed the attentions much!

He doesn't need his head up to look into people's faces.

Thank god it's only the preseason. The only team in the league that has lost 3 games and has no wins. and they are in seventh place in the midwest....again, thank god it's only the preseason.

I just hope that when JVG does play our starters the team plays like a team.
