Hey R2k if you are reading this, could you cap the games on national TV HD instead of the local please??
This may sound stupid...but you need an HD TV to watch HD.. Otherwise why dont you already have HD if you got Time Warner. The HD service doesnt cost anything extra unless you want to pay for HD Plus and get ESPN ... otherwise you get ABC, TNT and FSN (when they broadcast). All you have to do is get an HD box which doesnt cost anything extra unless you are getting a DVR.
Okay dude as probably one of the only people on the board that actually has both, I have to say that TW has been crap for me I would go with dish if at all possible the dvr with TW is nice but there service is horrible.
What service issues have you had with them? I have only had TW, and no problems with them. Roadrunner is especcially awesome. I just won't compromise Rox PO viewing for anything.
FYI .....Dish Network FINALLy has FSSW HD ......just came online within the last few weeks ...I saw the Seattle game on my 42" Plasma and found the picture comparable to ESPNHD and TNTHD
What exactly are u talkin about?? What does a descrambler have to do with watchin the rockets in HD?? If they are not being broadcasted by anybody what exactly do u descramble?? And Im pretty sure the Rockets game u caught on ur frenz TV was on FSN HD...
They're a free upgrade but u still have to pay to rent them....Even regular digital boxes cost $7 I believe....So ya everybody's paying that....
I thought the picture was way too bright and not as good as ESPNHD or TNTHD! To me it seemed like the broadcast was WS SD!
I liked it better the ESPN because it was brighter..I was watching it using my 720p projector on a 120" screen..All matter of preference...Maybe I'm being biased and the real reason is because I couldn't stand the ESPN broadcasters.
Yeah, but I think there was like only 5 games the entire season broadcast in HD on that channel. Not sure what is up with FSN-Houston. Seems like other regions get alot better programming and regularly get games in HD.
Descrambler=free Nope, it was a KNWS broadcast. Call them yourself and ask. Of course, no descrambler needed for that, but if you want to bypass paying for regular cable (TNT or ESPN, or a million other channles, p*rn included), you need a descambler. Can anyone verify that KNWS did indeed broadcast a game recently in HD?
