But not all lives are in danger for something as simple as a traffic stops. This is real life, not quips.
that's a terrible tragedy, however the difference is he was not killed by people paid to protect and serve him.
People shouldn't wear arms, it wasn't self defense even. Racism, police brutality and injustice, and gun violence/issues.
Still waiting to hear what you have done to help the Hong Kong people, a cause that you seem to care about so much.
What are you talking about? You realize the whole movement is about a lack of justice, right? Ricks' murderer was caught, arrested, and will likely be held without bail, tried, convicted, and ultimately put in jail. That's what people want. That's the opposite of what happens in these situations that are being protested. Either you're super ignorant despite years of this being at the forefront of politics, or you are being intentionally deceitful and just wanting to start conflict. Either way, it's kind of pathetic.
But that's exactly his question. Shouldn't the movement be called, "Black Lives Killed by Police Matter"?
Latinos who fight with cops are called pendejos. They shot him por pendejo. No one wants to be a pendejo.
He was also not saved by police, the friend and protector of the neighborhood..... this world is cray.
I was just thinking about this whole boycott situation. After the Bucks boycotted (and didn't inform the Magic in time), the media engaged in the filthiest attempt to divide the players by trying so hard (and falling so flat) to turn the Bucks into villains and Magic into victims. A situation which I'm sure was resolved with a quick, genuine apology. It's a nothing. It's an oops. They ran that story so many times, they tried to blow it up. That's so terrible. The big sports media entities are owned by companies and people who are a major part of the problem that African Americans (and other minorities too) face. I know that world very very well whether Hollywood, Netflix or Broadcast media. The sports media trot out 30-60 year old upper upper upper middle income American hosts/guests who are supposed to get on that screen and either say something the owner is happy with or risk getting less air time and be replaced by someone who is genuinely stupid enough to share the same opinion as the owners of that entity. It's all very subtle the promotion and demotion of exposure, and you never state the actual reason you're doing it. You will notice recently on one of the networks, there seem to be a few new favorites who were gifted extra air time (greenie, stephen A increased guest appearancesand some who are getting less (remember how much we were seeing Perkins at the start of the pandemic?). Every time the players take stance, the media can't wait to boost stories about some mysteriously surprisingly bigger than you think contingent of players who disagree, and of course we never end up hearing from these people. Really filthy behavior. Listen to the "buts". They will say something nice about what's happening and then come the buts that are so identical across the hosts you have to imagine there's instruction coming in the morning about the messaging. Why isn't the media taking a stronger stance? Kenny walked off but it's because he wanted to show solidarity, but I don't know if he will acknowledge his network has "blood" on its hands too. Still, it was great that he walked off, and I wish more had done it symbolically. Thus far you can summarize the media's stance is to act objective but ultimately have someone on the show say "Just dance and cash those cheques". At the very least, 90% of them should be permanently displaying strong messaging demanding change. They want to be objective right? The reality on the ground is objectively bad. The only objective stance to take is to support this cause heavily. They have to STOP make believing that there are two equally competing opinions. You can't take an opinion shared by a minority and blow it up like that. Most Americans for the first time in history agree that it's f*cked up in poor neighbourhoods and waiting is not an option, even if they don't agree whether to help a little or a lot. ESPN makes it look like 50% of Americans are like "stop whining dude". It's a new America. They look like such dinosaurs today.
