Okay so tomorrow when everything is fixed bc of this, or in a year, or 10 years, or in 100, or a ****ing 1000 years, then can we play sports? Or nah, there will still be problems on earth that need to be solved. Never mind.

I get that this is important, I just simply don't understand why it needs to be done this way.

I'm sick of this ****. There are tons of innocent people killed constantly but they are taking a stand over yet another career criminal-This one apparently a rapist. Stop ****ing resisting arrest, stop dying and getting shot.

I don't disagree with any of that. My point is while the message may be right, the forum to present that message is not protesting games that millions of fans enjoy watching.

I get being a bit irked, playoff ball was a fun escape, but I'll repeat what I edited this into my earlier post (I think after you saw it):

Some people LIVE this 24 hours a day. And many of these players used to be those people, or came from families who were those people... Something tells me they don't care all that much about being our escape right now.

When are you going to have seen enough lying, scared-sh!tless, poorly trained, and/or corrupt cops to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt just because a black man from the hood was involved?

I guess reading through this thread and seeing the domino effect of posts has me worked up. I suppose you're right it's unlikely. But what happens when (WHEN NOT IF) another black american gets shot by police. We cancel then? Do you get where I am coming from?

I thought they were doing a good job already. Just watching the bubble, it's been a major focus point.

The Bucks boycotted, and so did the Rockets and Thunder. The league postponed to save face and still keep the possibility of $$ from those games alive.

The reason those "warzones" exist is because of the aftermath of systemic racism that left low income, high crime minority neighborhoods in its wake. They lean left now because those policies are aimed at fixing those issues rather than ignoring them... Those neighborhoods absolutely did not become that way because of leftist policies.

Did Charles or Shaq walk out? Strange how Kenny did so on-air. Great for solidarity, I guess, but if he really wanted to show support, he would have done so without fanfare.

edit: Nope, neither Shaq, Charles nor Ernie walked out. lmao.

Criticized for burning down buildings and looting.

Told “Why can’t they protest peacefully?”

Only to get criticized for protesting peacefully.

Damn if you do, damn if you don’t.
